Today's post is full of fashion-ey goodness! Over the past two weeks we have been oooo-ing and ahhh-ing over the Autumn Winter 12/13 catwalks and today we have rounded up our favourite trends from both New York Fashion Week and London Fashion Week. One huge feature of the two is...details are in. Every collection we have eyeballed was packed full of gorgeous details, everything from feathers to brocade. We also spotted lots of ideas and gowns which would be perfectly translated into wedding style. Here are just a few of what we found...
Our Favourites of the Runway Season

Marchesa NYFW - Marchesa debuted a series of gowns fit for a princess in shades of heavenly white, cream, gold, red and silvery-blue. Designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig reportedly got their romantic inspiration from a portrait from 1879. Lace and tulle along with feathers adorned dramatic, voluminous dresses with sheer bodices and flared finishes, totally droolworthy.

Jenny Packham NYFW - The Autumn/Winter Jenny Packham models were glammed up in black-and-white-film-ready dark lipstick, rolled quiffs at the front and back, chunky crystal earrings and flashing red-sole Louboutin high heels. Very film noir. The gowns were utterly breath-taking and could easily be worn by a stylista bride!

Orla Kiely LFW - Irish Designer Orla Kiely launched her 2012 Autumn Winter collection in an 1920's tearoom decorated with the designers iconic prints on wallpaper and her signature furnishings. There was no runway but instead a choreographed afternoon tea dance complete with live swing band. The models sported tea dresses with dainty prints, cute collars and full skirts. The whole presentation was so beautiful and could easily be translated into a wedding - pretty bridesmaids and an afternoon tea reception! A trend we love!
Images: Temperley
Temperley at London Fashion Week - With a palette of gold, creams and whites, the Temperley collection featured a clash of luxurious fabrics - beautiful embroidery and sequins paired with shimmering metallics, heavy velvets merged with ditzy prints. The collection centred around lots of lace, embellishments and silk. We got a very Downton-esque feel from the collection. Also very on trend for the Great Gatsby movie, which is due for release in December.
