Dating back to the 15th Century, Darver Castle is a spectacular exclusive setting for your romantic and magical wedding.

Darver Castle is situated in 50 acres of beautiful mature trees, gardens, and lawns in Co. Louth. The Castle and surrounding outbuildings have been transformed over the years into a haven of tranquillity and luxury offering incredible service and facilities on wedding days.

Darver Castle offers a unique exclusive experience to make you feel at home on your big day. Your arrival reception is hosted on the ground floor of the oldest part of the castle. This allows your guests to explore the old-world elegance and charm on offer.

The Castle has a stylish wedding ceremony room within the courtyard. The dedicated and experienced wedding team at Darver Castle can also guide you through the planning process, ensuring you get the intimate ceremony you wish for.

The venue has a magnificent banquet hall that can cater for up to 280 guests. The Brabazon Hall, which showcases stone-cut walls and a beamed ceiling, provides a warm and beautiful backdrop that will make your wedding feast a dining experience to remember.

In total there are 34 rooms at Darver Castle. These rooms are situated in the Main Castle, Courtyard and Oakwood Cottages.

We celebrated our wedding in Darver Castle in March. It was a stunning experience and a wonderful day. We cannot get over how helpful the staff were and how smooth the whole experience was. Anne was brilliant to talk to in advance of the day and made us feel very at ease, and it was great to meet her both on Zoom in the lead-up to the day, and also at the venue in advance, to talk through the details. Ruth and Alan were brilliant looking after us on the day, and Mary was brilliant on the day as well and went above and beyond - even helping Amanda out of the car when she arrived in her wedding dress that morning! You rarely see staff that genuinely seem to love what they do in a place like this and it was so refreshing. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food on the day, including steaks cooked to perfection (and we did a couple of the Mr and Mrs nights in the last year - the food was amazing every time, and was incredible on the day too!) We also had a number of guests who were Deaf and the staff and management did everything they could to accommodate them. The rain on the day didn't spoil a thing for us - the grounds and castle are beautiful, the bedrooms gorgeous, and both the ceremony room and dining hall just spectacular. We really couldn't have asked for more and we would recommend Darver to anyone considering getting married.

We had our wedding at Darver Castle in April. From start to finish we had the most amazing experience. Our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was, and the exceptional service! We planned our big day from the States and Anne and her team made it so easy, going above and beyond for us.
