A perfect wedding venue, Ballyvolane House built in 1728 is a historic country house filled with family heirlooms, portraits and antiques. This glorious house is homely, welcoming and has heaps of character. Think more "stylish house party" than hotel.
Bare-foot or ball gowns, Ballyvolane House are happy to accommodate all kinds of weddings, from small intimate groups to larger parties.
Ballyvolane House is a magical setting for a wedding and sits on 70 acres of land and there are magnificent gardens and parklands around the house. There are options to have the ceremony outside in the bluebell woodland, in the tin ceremony barn or by the lakes, all creating a stunning backdrop to your wedding.
After the ceremony, guests will be greeted on the lawn with wedding tipples such as prosecco and "B&T's", using Bertha's Revenge Gin which is distilled in a small artisan distillery in the farmyard. Home made canapes are served and pints are available from the retro caravan in the garden.
The meal itself takes place in the dining terrace part of the converted old stone barn. This is a beautiful, light and airy setting for up to 140 guests. The dance floor and bar are connected to the dining terrace to create the perfect party venue.
Ballyvolane House handles all the catering in-house and the head chef creates stunning seasonal menus, using a farm to fork ethos with many fruit and vegetables sourced from their own walled garden. Hog roasts using Ballyvolane's own rare breed Saddleback pigs are always a highlight.
Couples that marry at Ballyvolane House get 100% exclusivity of the house and grounds for the duration of their wedding making this your home from home. Guests staying at the house can relax, explore the grounds, lakes and walled garden as well as use the tennis courts, soccer pitch, croquet, badminton and clay pigeon shooting.
There is a substantial amount of accommodation that can be recommended in the local area. Located less than 30 minutes from Cork city and 45 minutes from Cork airport, making this venue highly accessible yet wonderfully remote!
Ballyvolane House also offers additional accommodation in the form of 'glamping' in the gardens from May to September and please click the following link for details:Â http://www.ballyvolanehouse.ie/glamping/.
