Cork countryside, and the venue's gasp-worthy interiors are all contenders! An 18th Century manor located on a beautiful 40-acre estate, Ballinacurra House is home to several lovely event spaces, but the most popular option is the conjoined Ballroom and Garden Room, which, together, seat up to 150 for dinner.

Castlemartyr
Famous all around Ireland for its five-star service and beautiful gardens, Castlemartyr is a truly extraordinary wedding venue! Nestled away in an idyllic part of East Cork, the Castlemartyr estate boasts stunning landscapes, historic castle ruins and gorgeous lakes, all of which are yours to explore on your big day! Several rooms and outdoor areas are registered for civil ceremonies, while the Capel Suite, with its dramatic chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows, is an elegant option for receptions, seating up to 220 guests for dinner.

The River Lee
Dublin city weddings are the subject of much hype, but it's worth remembering that Cork city is home to one of the most stylish hotel wedding venues in the country! The River Lee, which, as the name suggests, is located on the banks of the famous Cork river, offers the best of both worlds - it's a venue in a central location, with truly incredible views that make you feel close to nature. We love the Mirror Room, which seats up to 110 guests, but can be adjusted to suit smaller groups, and features a handmade mahogany bar, lots of ferns and greenery, and a private terrace.

Liss Ard Estate
A historic house located in picturesque West Cork, Liss Ard Estate offers the perfect combination of magical surroundings and top-level service. The 163-acre estate boasts beautiful gardens, woodlands, and meadows, and a private lake, as well as the James Turrell Sky Garden, a completely unique sky- and stargazing spot! The venue's event spaces include the 19th Century Georgian country house with its adjacent garden mews, the Victorian lake lodge overlooking the lake, and the charming walled gardens. Up to 120 guests can dine in the house itself, but, for larger affairs, the venue can accommodate a marquee in the grounds.

Inish Beg Estate
Inish Beg Estate is like no other venue in Ireland, in that it's located on its own private island! A 97-acre estate estate off the West Cork coast, accessible by road bridge, it's an incredibly secluded spot, but one that doesn't involve epic levels of travelling - it's incredibly easy to reach from Cork city, airport and ferryport. Wedding parties are given exclusive use of the estate, which boasts accommodation for up to 52 guests, and has lots of incredible options for ceremonies and receptions, including the Boat House, the famous walled garden, and the waterfront marquee.

Innishannon House Hotel
An 18th Century country house that could easily pass for a French chateau, Innishannon House Hotel is a quaint and quiet spot in which to host your best day ever! Civil ceremonies conducted outdoors in the gardens are down-right magical, while the elegant River Suite is a beautiful dining space for wedding parties of up to 200 guests. Best of all, you can invite up to 120 more guests for the afters! Ashley Park
You only have to lay eyes on the gorgeous façade of Ashley Park to realise that it's unique among Irish country house venues. An 18th Century manor adorned with a beautiful verandah and lots of lush greenery, and overlooking Lough Ourna, it's an elegant, and exceedingly glamorous spot for a vintage-inspired wedding. It's equally well suited to big and small affairs - the dining room can host parties of up to 70 guests, but for a bigger bash, the pavilion seats up to 300 guests. The venue's purpose-built ceremony space, a Boathouse overlooking the lake, is idyllic in any weather.

Kilshane House
Every time we receive photographs of a real wedding at Kilshane House, we fall in love with this glamorous Tipperary venue all over again! Between the huge Victorian conservatory, the walled gardens and the Japanese pagoda on the lake, it looks like something out of a big-budget period drama! Despite its grandeur, Kilshane House is the perfect spot for a relaxed party, complete with fireworks and dancing until dawn! The bright and airy Orangerie, which boasts a full bar at one end, can seat up to 220 guests, many of whom can stay on site in the venue's 54 guest bedrooms.

Sol y Sombra Tapas Bar and Restaurant
Housed in a restored, 200-year-old church that retains lots of original features, including beautiful, stained glass windows, Sol y Sombra Tapas Bar and Restaurant is a truly unique wedding venue in the heart of Killorglin town, in the Reeks District of Co. Kerry. Recommended in the Michelin guide, Sol y Sombra can cater for up to 125 guests for a traditional, banquet-style wedding, or up to 180 guests for an informal wedding party.
