Whether you're newly engaged, not yet engaged, or well into the throes of wedding planning, we've always got lots of blog posts offering wedding planning real talk, practical advice, and handy tips to help you with every last detail of wedding planning.
We'll be kicking 2018 off with a whole month of in-depth planning guides, covering everything from working out what kind of wedding you want and finding your dream venue, to planning out a budget and dealing with any family dramas you might encounter in the lead up to your big day. But 2017 was pretty chock-full with wedding planning advice too, so to help you find the best of it, the One Fab Day team have rounded up some of our favourite wedding planning posts of the last 12 months.
Áine - Business Development Manager
Áine's Pick: Our real talk guide to the frequently asked question, "Why are weddings so expensive?" - read the full post here.
I found this post so helpful as a bride to be, it gives you a realistic idea of what the figures will be and it helped me a lot!

Claire - Editor
Claire's Pick: A gorgeous guide to the most jaw-droppingly beautiful places to have your wedding ceremony in Ireland - read the full post here.
I just loved this post because every single place on the list is truly spectacular. These are the spots you'll often see in photos but not always know where they are, so I love that they're all in one handy place. I think this one is particularly helpful to couples coming from abroad to marry in Ireland, or something thinking of a ceremony in the wild.

As someone who's currently planning a wedding, it was so helpful to see a complete breakdown of how the day might run and flagged up considerations we hadn't thought of - I'll definitely be checking back in on this one closer to the big day!

This is a very helpful post with some practical tips for the morning of the wedding. It's a really special time but can easily become a little stressful so this is the perfect post to help with that.

Celina - Staff Writer
Celina's Pick: Three of the One Fab Day team shared their personal stories of getting married after losing a parent, and how they marked it on the day - read the full post here.
Even though this post is a little heartbreaking in places, it's also an incredibly helpful read for brides and grooms who are planning a wedding without their Mum or Dad there by their side. As Claire writes, there's no right or wrong way to celebrate your parent's memory on your big day, but this post has some lovely ideas about how to do it, ranging from public displays of adoration, to small details that none of your guests would even notice.

Because it's the post I've found myself sending to friends and family most! So many people are getting married in my life (I've hit that age!) and this is such a valuable post if you're planning a hen for your bestie!
