Peach, sage and ivory shades combine to create a subtly soft and romantic stationery palette. Scripted calligraphy, deckled edgee paper and wax stamps give this contemporary take on old-world style that suits the 1920s mansion setting perfectly.
Bursting with magnificent blooms, from open and closed roses and fluffy hydrangeas to willow twigs and delphinium, the flowers on this wedding arch are immaculately intertwined with ivory voile. The florist, In Bloom Florists, used over 40 types of blooms to create this incredible eight-foot-tall floral arch, that effortlessly flows between rainbow shades of blue, purple, orange, purple and pink. Instead of pew ends, the aisle chairs were tastefully decorated with the same florals to frame the couple as they walk down the aisle.
As for the non-traditional wedding cake, the concept behind the “floating” aspect of this swinging confectionary delight was to play off of the fact that rainbows seem to float in the sky. The layered finish mirrors the beautiful texture of the roses.
To avoid focusing primarily on one colour or flower as the wedding design's focal point, planner and lead designer, Roots to Stems, concentrated soft neutral colours such as peach, yellows, hazy blues, and sage greens in the middle of the rainbow. These tones played off of the rich tones in the walls of the mansion, which also continues in the stone used throughout the grounds.
Apart from the lush styling, we must shine a light on the bride and groom's style. A bridal gown that is sweetly scattered with texture such as embroidery and floral embellishments fits perfectly with the styling. While the black-tie tuxedo and princess skirt are give the looks the drama needed for such a for a grand setting of The Howey Mansion. We love how the statement earrings introduced a kiss of perfect peach colour to tie it all together.
Onto the tablescape, which is definitely one to pin to your dream board. Imagine this as your top table set up - wow! Planner and lead Designer, Alayna Mines explains why the fusion of soft neutrals with rainbow hues is something to consider for wedding styling extra flair: "Not only did we want to bring colour to the 'neutral' world we see so much of these days, but we wanted to show that your wedding doesn’t have to be just one colour, it can be many. And it can be fabulous and scream luxury all at the same time without being the typical black tie affair that you commonly think of when you imagine a luxury wedding!"
