Wedding Films of the Year 2017: One Fab Day Team Favourites

Who needs a box set when you can hit play on all these films?

Wedding films have a really special place in our hearts here at One Fab Day. While photography is great for capturing how a wedding day looked, the right wedding film will capture how the day felt as well. We've all been known to well-up a bit while we're sifting through the cinema section on the site!

To celebrate the highlights of our wedding cinema features throughout the year (definitely worth checking out if you're on the lookout for a great videographer!), we've rounded up the team's Wedding Films of the Year for 2017 - the perfect festive period viewing for those days when you just don't want to get out of your PJs!

Tess - Office Administrator

Tess' Pick: Mary and Eric's stunning Irish elopement film by Story of Eve - get the full real wedding feature here.

There was something so naturally beautiful about this wedding, from the incredible mountainside setting to the windswept vows, and I loved how intimate and meaningful Mary and Eric's ceremony was.

Joanna - Marketing Manager

Joanna's Pick: Sinead and Dave's amazing tropical wedding film by B&G Productions - see the full post here.

This wedding just looked like the best craic ever! The gospel choir, the tropical theme (pineapples and flamingos included!), oversized balloons and all the colour! Wish I was at this one!

Celina - Staff Writer

Celina's Pick: Lisa & Joe's sweet love story and pretty wedding day by Hitched Films - see the original blog post here.

In a way, Hitched Films had an easy job here, because Lisa and Joe so adorable, but I was so impressed with the creativity they brought to this wedding film, which combines traditional shots of the big day with a really strong storytelling element. Full disclosure: I teared up while watching it!

Claire - Editor

Claire's Pick: Sinead & Niall's beautiful Gloster House wedding film by Bainis Films - see the full write-up here.

30 seconds into this one, and I'm already crying. There's just such an authenticity to this film; it captures the sense of occasion and the emotion of the day in such an unfussy way, and really reflects the informal, relaxed feel of Niall & Sinead's wedding.

Eimear - Brand Relations Manager

Eimear's Pick: Stephen & Ruth's fun, colourful wedding in the woods by Luminaire Weddings - see the full blog post here.

I love the film of Stephen and Ruth's beautiful wedding, it really captures the happiness and relaxed vibe of the day and the soundtrack tops it off perfectly!

Áine - Business Development Manager

Áine's Pick: Morgan & Dave's breathtaking cliffside vows on the North Antrim Coast by  Pig Mint Films - see the full story behind it here.

The scenery in this wedding film was stunning, I also thought it really captured them as a couple.
