This Couple Braved Storm Emma to Say "I Do" in the Snow!

The Beast from the East can't keep these lovebirds apart!

If you live in Ireland or the UK, you're probably holed up indoors right now, debating whether to trek through the snow for a loaf of bread, or spread your jam on a rice cake instead, so the last thing you'll be expecting to see is evidence of a Storm Emma wedding! Yep, determined bride and groom Anna & Andy braved snowstorms to tie the knot at Trinity Boardmills Presbyterian Church yesterday and party the night away in Corick House and frankly, we couldn't be more impressed! Photographer Iain Irwin was there to capture the magic of their real wedding...

It didn't look like this Northern Irish wedding was going to go ahead, until Anna's neighbours got their tractors out and cleared the roads so that she could make it to the church for the ceremony. Now that's commitment! "We were shocked when we saw the snow in the morning," Andy tells us, "but nothing was ever going to deter us from getting married! That's why we went out with the tractors and the gritters on the road."

And they're off! Anna made it to the church exactly 42 minutes late (Andy was counting!) That's pretty good going, all things considered!

Brrr! We can't quite believe that Anna and her besties went coatless in sub-zero temperatures, but the results are beyond stunning!

Andy tells us that the couple were quite relaxed about the snow. "We were more concerned about getting all of our guests there safely than everything going to plan! The weather only added to it being an incredible day, a day that I don't think any of us will ever forget!"

Thanks so much to Iain Irwin Photography for sharing these gorgeous photos, and to newlyweds Anna and Andy for giving us a peek at their truly unique wedding day! Congratulations guys - we hope you've have warmed up by now!
