A ceremony under a clear blue sky, celebrating in a 17th century villa dancing on a balmy evening among the lemon trees, today's beautiful Tuscan Wedding ticks all the boxes for those dreaming of an Italian destination wedding. For Fionn & Finn this dream came true this summer at their wedding at Villa Catignano near Siena, deep in the hills of Tuscany.
Wedding photographer Fionn, asked his serious competition and close friends, Paul Kelly and Lucia de Nile to photograph the whole weekend. "Never an enviable task, photographing another photographer’s wedding, they went above and beyond our expectations and produced and captured the essence of the wedding."
Finn opted for a vintage bridal style finding her elegant long-sleeved wedding dress in DirtyFabulous and complementing it with an embellished birdcage veil, and of course I am loving those gorgeous white and silver platform heels - go Finn!
Who's Going to Set the Table?
Fionn and Finn made the dinner tables very personal by using photos from different stages of their lives individually and as a couple, instead of the usual numbers or names. While friends were enlisted to pick wild flowers for the dinner tables, and then helped the wedding planner to set them, while Finn's friend Ellen made place names.
So far away from Ireland, Fionn & Finn had to add some good old Irish craic to the proceedings, so they put a time card on each table, so guests could to guess the overall speech times and they even had spot prizes for the winner of each table.
And Fionn & Finn's favourite moment of the day? "When we saw each other for the first time at the church."
What advice would you give to brides and grooms planning their day?
"Spend lots of time organising your big day or weekend, but once it all starts, enjoy it and don’t get caught up in the detail. It goes by quickly and you need to savour every moment and really enjoy this amazing experience."
Congratulations to Fionn & Finn, hope you're enjoying married life and thank you for sharing your day with us.
And Big Thanks to photographer Paul Kelly for letting us feature these dreamy wedding photographs - you can positively feel the warmth from here. For more of Paul Kelly's wedding photography check out www.pkstudio3.com
