Today's wedding of the beautiful Anneliese & Oliver had me oohing and aahing from beginning to end. Each picture is more lovely than the last, each moment looks more fun than the one before, and just about every guest, bridesmaid and groomsman oozes sophisticated style. It's sort of the dream really. So if you're in search of inspiration for a Summer celebration, you've found it today...
A stylish couple for sure, Anneliese and Oliver planned a very classic wedding day with lots of little glamorous touches, a subtle blue colour scheme and personality added through small details here and there.
Anneliese opted for old school elegance as her bridal look. We just adore her open back wedding dress, which she styled perfectly with a soft chignon, and a subtle pink lip.
Isn't Anneliese and Oliver's nephew just adorable? Keep an eye out for him popping up quite a bit...
Oliver donned a bright navy blue Ted Baker suit for the occasion with a dapper pocket square and a classic pair of ray bans, which came in handy later on in this beautiful day...
Once styled and groomed Anneliese and Oliver hopped in a cute retro camper to the nearby First Holywood Presbyterian in Co.Down, with some little helpers following behind.
Anneliese and Oliver decorated the ceremony space with soft hints of blue and muted florals to compliment the girls flowy blue bridesmaid dresses. So pretty and fresh.
In case you're admiring Anneliese's choice of flowers - those gorgeous apricot roses are David Austin "Juliet", a huge fave for summer weddings. So distinctive and luscious.
Ceremony over and the real fun begins. First of all, hugs all round...
A strong contender for our photo of the year. Don't you just adore this explosion of confetti and the look of joy on the adorable granny in pink?!
With their I dos said and an impressive explosion of confetti complete, Annaliese and Oliver et al, headed off to their reception. While their guests tucked into delicious canapés and cocktails under a bright blue sky, they nipped away for some portraits on the grounds of Tullyveery House.
Tullyveery House is an exclusive-use venue so Anneliese, Oliver and their guests had the run of the house and grounds for the entirety of the wedding, the privacy providing a really relaxed family house party feel to the day.
Isn't he just the best?
It's a tough job being a pageboy, but someone's got to step up.
Anneliese and Oliver just relaxed into the proceedings and enjoyed themselves, making them a photographer's dream to shoot, as photographers Gather & Tide told us... "Moving from seaside Hollywood through the countryside to the elegant Tullyveery house was the perfect way to spend the day. Escaping a few times with the bride and groom was effortless and these guys were so comfortable with one another, it was a dream."
Portraits complete Anneliese and Oliver rejoined their guests (humans and cat!) for an all out wedding party in the Tullyveery House marquee.
Mixing old and new Anneliese and Oliver decorated the marquee with pictures of their parents and grandparent's weddings surrounded by pale blue bunting, some more roses and sprigs of lavender in cute mini tin buckets.
To add a splash of colour Anneliese and Oliver decorated the marquee roof with paper umbrellas and an impressive hanging floral décor arrangement by The Flower Room. These hanging arrangements are set to be a big trend for 2015, keep an eye out for our own inspiration post coming soon.
Congratulations to you both, and thanks so much for sharing your wonderful wedding day with us.
A big thank you also goes to Gather and Tides for sharing their photography with us, to see more Gather and Tide weddings head over to www.gatherandtides.com
