Trend Alert! Carnations are Officially Back on the Cool List

Carnations are back! This humble flower could save you money while giving your wedding a dose of vintage glam.

If you think of carnations as hasty petrol-station purchases, prepare to have your mind blown by the gorgeous floral inspiration we've gathered for you in this post! We're not sure how these frilly flowers got such a bad rap in Ireland and the UK (they're consistently popular at Asian, South African and American weddings), but it ends here! - carnations are resilient, versatile and affordable, so it's no wonder they've been popping up all over the place in dreamy bouquets and epic floral installations.

The best part about this trend is that it could actually save you money! Carnations are among the most affordable flowers you can buy and although this has contributed to their slightly dodgy reputation - many still consider them "filler flowers" - they're ideal for balancing out the cost of more expensive flowers and using in ambitious décor projects like large-scale installations.

Some of our favourite florists are already championing the return of the carnation, so we've found seven easy ways you can incorporate them into your big day.

1. Bouquets
