Maria Clara was born and raised in Brazil but dreamed of studying in Ireland and then travelling around Europe. Her first stop was Galway Bay where she attended Sunday mass and met her future husband. They hit it off immediately and within a month of friendship they began dating. Not long after, Joshua knew he couldn't and wouldn't live without her, so he did what anyone of us would do. Set on the picturesque grounds of The Three Towers in Galway the wedding was beautifully photographed by EF Creative Photography. Bride Maria Clara says... "The wedding was far more than we could have dreamed of!  We were overwhelmed by the love and support of our friends and family, it was a beautiful and relaxed day, filled with joy, good food and music." You're going to love today's real wedding love story...
Smitten with the beautiful Maria Clara, Joshua decided on a Christmas proposal at their favourite restaurant in Galway. Maria Clara describes... "We sat on a lovely table in the corner, and everything was lit by candlelight. We sat out on the balcony between courses, which over looked the river. It was very picturesque as there was fairy lights everywhere." Being a gent, Joshua got their coats from inside, Maria Clara recalls... "When he came back he kneeled down and said the most beautiful words of love and asked me to be his wife, his forever. Between tears and smiles I said yes. Best decision I've ever made."
Momo and Sheeva are the two dogs who live on the grounds of the hotel and they played a big part in the couple's day! Cute...
When it came to choosing a venue as soon as the couple walked into the The Three Towers they both knew it was the one. Maria Clara recalls..."Even before talking to each other, we both knew. We loved everything about it, the rustic feel to it, the beautiful surroundings and the good food."  They wanted their guests to feel relaxed and to enjoy themselves from start to finish and The Three Tower's laid back vibe allowed that.  On the morning of the wedding everyone met super early with their cups of coffee for a morning of worship, Maria Clara explains a touching moment..."Josh's mom played the guitar and sang, it was beautiful! She even learned a song in Portuguese to sing to my family and I." The ceremony was made extra special as Maria Clara's mother walked her up the aisle like she always dreamed, while Joshua's father performed the ceremony.
The couple were lucky enough to have family and friends coming from Brazil, America, Germany and all over Ireland to celebrate with them. Maria Clara explains ..."I think our wedding started Friday, when all our family got together and went to the hotel for the weekend. We made our own pizzas and the two families got to know each other better and bond, and later started decorating for the wedding."

Maria Clara and Joshua's wedding was full of DIY inspiration and style. Maria Clara explains..."For weeks before the wedding, we would meet to make the decorations, it was a lot of fun! " Their wedding bands and stationary where made by friends in Brazil and friends from Ireland made all the delicious cakes and favors.
The couple share some friendly wedding planning advice...  "It is not about what you have on the day but who you are sharing it with. There will be a hiccups but you shouldn’t let it get in the way of your day. Enjoy every moment of it, even the simple things and the big things that you might be scared to mess up. But before you know it, the day will be over and all you can do is look back on it.  So enjoy it as much as you can and remember, smile! It’s the best day of your life."
The happy couple share their honeymoon adventures... "After the wedding we went to Dublin for a few days and then we went to Berlin! It was our first time in the city and it was a lot of fun to explore it together. The beginning of many adventures as a married couple!"
