Today we are bringing you a real wedding that is full of life, love and blooming personality from Anna and Jonny! The couple chose to marry in The Loft Templepatrick at The Rabbit hotel and the results were just outstanding! An elegant, fun day with a vintage vibe was the order of the day and the couple brought their very own planning talents to the day via their business Blooming Events Northern Ireland. These stunning images from Ali and Laura Photography have given us a glimpse into their gorgeous style and impeccable taste.
Anna tells us that they're real life high-school sweethearts! "We met at the age of 15 in summer 2008, and formed a great friendship, which turned into young love. We’ve been together ever since." Even with Anna going to University in Liverpool and Jonny staying in Belfast and doing a year away in America, the bond remained strong.
The couple got engaged in the Mourne Mountains overlooking the town where they first met. Anna tells us, "Jonny then surprised me with a night's stay at the Galgorm resort and spa that evening to celebrate."
We just adore Anna's dress which came from Archive 12 designer Bon Bride. The puffed statement shoulders and button down front gives a vintage 40s feel to this gorgeous gúna, with a daring cut out backline giving it a contemporary edge that is so unique.
The couple chose their venue as they fell in love with the concept of The Loft Templepatrick. "It was like nothing we’ve ever seen, even working within the industry ourselves. The overall concept we just loved, it felt very relaxed, modern and the style had a timeless yet quirky feel. The people were the cherry on top. Abby looked after us and she’s so passionate about her job and every couple she meets. No request was ever too big."
Can we take a moment to appreciate the incredible decor of this venue? From the marble feast-style dining tables to the high vaulted ceilings, it's a show-stopper. The amazing flowers were provided by the couple's own company Blooming Events Northern Ireland.
Anna loved that they both put their own touch to their day saying, "Another really special thing was doing my own décor and florals. I started Blooming Backdrops in 2018 and I just adore getting to work with people on one of the most important days of their lives. It’s nice looking back on the photos and seeing the effort and love I and Jonny put into everything."
The couple's best advice for your day is to "enjoy every moment," as it flies by! For their mini-moon they travelled to Ibiza for four days which they highly recommend for "a really relaxing getaway."
