Inspired by the free spirited style and dynamic music scene of the 70's today's team of Claire Barry, Leanne Keaney and other wonderful Irish wedding suppliers have put together a bold and colourful 70's wedding look at The Dean to inspire you to do something a little different. Incorporate each element for a full on retro look or pick and choose pieces you like to add some simple yet effective style to your wedding day...
Taking inspiration from the 70s photographer Leanne Keaney and stylist Claire Barry put together a fun wedding look with pops of bold colours, a little bit of glitz and music inspired details.
Today's team brought to life the era with bright flowers from The Garden, a fun yellow tiered cake by The Cake Cuppery and lots of cocktails to choose from in fun coloured glasses.
As a nod to 70's style colour was incorporated into the first wedding dress with chevron beading, while dress two was accessorised with long free flowing hair by Claire Barry and an adorable retro veil. The last dress then incorporated free spirited applique florals and an ethereal on-trend wedding cape.
To complete the bridal look makeup was kept fresh and simple with a bold pink link by Edwina Akano at EF Creative Studios to add impact.
The location for this 70's inspired look was the dark and stylish The Dean, with the alluring grey walls acting as the perfect backdrop for all those bursts of colour.
If you love this look and want to recreate it for your own retro wedding or event think about each element - your own bridal (or groom) style, the flowers, the music, the venue and your wedding stationery. Keep the look cohesive and stick to a select few bright colours, and visit some vintage stores for a more authentic feel.
A big thank to all the team involved in today's shoot, in particular the lovely Claire Barry and photographer Leanne Keaney. To see more from Leanne Keaney visit www.leannekeaney.ie
