Love At First Swipe! Nicole & Daniel

From Tinder beginnings to a walk down the aisle!

Rustic meets romantic in today's small restaurant wedding! We’re here for the autumnal colour palette, the wow-factor wedding dress and the gorgeous, boho, dried floral designs, but mostly we're obsessed with the love story behind it. After meeting online, and falling in love in Ireland, Brazilian couple Nicole and Daniel began planning their 2020 wedding and envisioned a big bash full of fun with all their loved ones from home. Unfortunately, like other couples, they had to scale back their guest list, but that gave them flexibility to get creative with their wedding venue. The result? A cozy, personal and stylish day at The Anglers Rest, with lots of dreamy imagery captured by Wonder and Magic. It's a stunning celebration of love found via Tinder!

Brazilian couple Nicole and Daniel first met when Nicole came to Ireland on an exchange to learn English in 2016. While here, with a fateful swipe right, she matched with Daniel on Tinder! Just one week later, the two met up for their first date on Daniel’s birthday, in the infamous Living Room bar. The pair got on so well that they decided to finish their night in a local nightclub, prolonging their evening of getting to know each other! The couple went on a few more dates, dining out, sharing their love of food and good company until making it official while on a trip to Milan.

The proposal happened in 2019, while the couple were on a trip to Rome to celebrate Nicole's birthday. What an incredible birthday present!

Family and friends from all over the world tuned in to a live stream of the small wedding ceremony so that everyone could still be part in some way. "It was so special, like they were there celebrating with us," Nicole reminisces. She adds, "the camera was also on during the entire reception so they could watch it and be a part of it, too."

Nicole and Daniel chose to host both their ceremony and reception at The Anglers Rest. Having them in the one venue gave them plenty of free time to enjoy the company of their loved ones and take gorgeous golden hour photos at sunset.

We can't get enough of Nicole's beautiful dried flower bridal bouquet.

Can you believe Nicole's gorgeous long-sleeved, embellished wedding dress was a clever ASOS find!? To her 'something new' dress she added 'something old', her mother's earrings, which were a present from her late grandfather.

Nicole's advice to engaged couples is to, "start with the budget, how much the couple would like to spend, and go from there!"

We're loving the blue suit that Daniel rocked!

Looking back, describing their day, Nicole tells us it was, "gorgeous, sunny, 27 degrees and shortly after the first pandemic lockdown. The guests were delighted to meet people again and to celebrate our love with us. The energy on the day was incredible!"

Nicole tells us that finding a venue in Dublin that could host both the ceremony and reception was an important factor. She says, "we wanted a boho, relaxed vibe where all the guests could enjoy great food and have a great time. They took care of all the decoration and organisation of the dinner. The place itself is gorgeous. I was delighted with the quality of their work and professionalism. We would recommend them to everyone!"

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the couple have yet to go on their honeymoon but they plan to visit Venice to celebrate their first anniversary!

For wedding favours, guests were gifted traditional Brazilian sweets, donuts and delicious cake jars. At each table setting, guests were also given disposable cameras to document the fun which the couple are planning on printing for their first wedding anniversary!

Before we leave you, we've got to say a huge thank you to Nicole and Daniel for sharing their gorgeous day with us, and to Wonder and Magic for providing the amazing imagery! You'll find even more pretty photographs from their wedding in the gallery below.
