Starting off our showcase of the New York Bridal Fashion Week Collections this week, we bring you the first ever full collection of Temperley London wedding dresses.
Alice Temperley designed her first ever wedding dress for her own one fab day in 2002 and since then has gone on to enjoy huge success as the darling of London fashion and society. Temperley dresses are famed for their boho aesthetic but with definite touch of luxe, perfect for a bride who aims to kick off her heels and enjoy champagne on the lawn barefoot.
The first full bridal collection is called the Ophelia 2012 range, and the name gives you a hint of the look and feel of the collection. It's still true Temperley with a boho style, but strong hints of vintage styling with elements of lots of different eras echoing through the collection. We've picked out some of our favourites from the Temperley wedding dresses of 2012...
A slim silhouette offers a 1930s look but the pretty embellishments bring it bang up to date.... (might have brushed the model's hair and gotten her to stand straight though - argh!!)
A little victoriana goes a long way, and since Lauren Bush Lauren's (yes, you read that correctly: Lauren Bush married David Lauren!) wedding last August, the high-collar lace covered up look is definitely coming in. A look to watch out for...
Not a traditional Temperley look, but very pretty for more of a princess style, this structured bodice with the wrapped detailing would be perfect for those brides who are not super body confident. Clever and beautiful - just what a good dress should be...
