An al fresco wedding on the beach is the absolute dream for lots of couples, but, unfortunately, in Ireland, it's not a very realistic one. Intermittent showers and wild sea breezes would almost certainly put a halt to your fun, but we can still take inspiration from the creative team who were brave enough to try it out for this photo shoot! The talented folk at Frog Prince Weddings and Events put together an irresistibly pretty tablescape that would work beautifully for a wedding at any time of year, while Beau Bride are showcasing three incredible - and very different - gowns. Niall Scully was kind enough to share the photographs from the shoot with us, so let's take a closer look, shall we!?
Sharon from Frog Prince tells us how the shoot came together; "On a sunny June morning, we took to the stunning location of our beach-inspired wedding shoot, Rush Beach in North County Dublin, with the idyllic backdrop of the never-ending golden sand and the calm waters of The Irish Sea. The aim of the shoot was to employ a evocative, organic colour palette and incorporate colours that represent the breathtaking essence of Irish nature."
The Frog Prince team chose wild and organic florals to mirror the beauty of the seaside backdrop. "They adorned the center of the table in shades of cream, peach and pale oranges, adding a lighthearted touch to the farmhouse tablescape. The neutral florals contrast beautifully with pops of dusky blue and royal green foliage. We wanted it to be elegant, classic and beautiful."
The Beau Bride team selected the Celine dress by Karen Willis Holmes for the first look. "This gown has exquisite beading detail through the bodice and softly into the skirt, with stunning sheer sleeves," Sharon tells us. "It's stylish and sophisticated! Beau Bride stock modern designs to fit each bride's style. We have no words to describe how breathtaking their gorgeous gowns are!"
If you're thinking of oversized floral arrangements for your big day, this bouquet should be saved or pinned immediately! "It's artfully asymmetrical yet whimsical, featuring a mixture of soft and delicate colours including peach, pale orange, dusky blue and natural green."
The second look featured a dove grey gown with hand beaded lace, known as the Alexandra by Truvelle. "Its refreshing colour palette and unique fabric is perfect for winter weddings! The gown is tied together beautifully with a silk bow that is both elegant and dramatic," Sharon says.
The makeup look was bang on trend, featuring a coral lip that echoes Pantone's colour of the year for 2019. "Michelle Field was our magnificent makeup-artist on the day, creating a stunning, soft, natural look to accentuate the natural beauty of our stunning model," Sharon says. "It's every bride's wedding make-up dream! Lou Merryweather is the talent behind our bride's wonderful hair. She styled it beautifully to complement each gown."
We're constantly raving about Beau Bride, and it seems Sharon agrees with us. "It's a unique and stylish bridal studio that focuses on bespoke, contemporary design. Beau Bride stock an exclusive collection of internationally-sourced designers that are new to Ireland - Truvelle, Laudae and Zavana, to name a few!"
The Frog Prince team chose gold charger plates and cutlery for a striking contrast with the wooden farmhouse tables and smart Chiavari chairs. "The hemstitch napkins and water glasses are a beautiful blue tone, reminiscent of a cool ocean breeze and the beautiful Irish Sea. Our neutral colour candle arrangements reflect an elegant beach aesthetic and align with our organic floral arrangements."
Sharon is keen to mention photographer Niall Scully, too. "This shoot would not have been anything without the incredibly talented wedding photographer Niall Scully, providing the highest of quality images that capture each moment beautifully! Niall is an absolute joy to work with and displays utmost passion in his work, capturing endless beautiful moments!"
I love the use of both pastel and bold blues on the tablescape! "The menus and agate place settings were designed by the fabulous team at bridetobe.ie," Sharon tells us. "They create the most stunning bespoke wedding stationery and accessories, paying the finest attention to detail."
There's no better way to finish than with this whimsical and romantic showstopper of a gown by Kelly Faetanini! Thanks so much to Niall Scully, Sharon from Frog Prince Weddings and Events, and the whole team behind this shoot for sharing it with us.
