This week we have a super Saturday Selection of real weddings that we are delighted to share with you all. This week's couples celebrated tying the knot in some of our favourite wedding venues across Ireland: From Tankardstown and Bellinter House in Co. Meath, Tinakilly Country House in Co. Wicklow and Horetown House in Co. Wexford. Let's take a peek...
An Officer and a Lady
Donnacha and Karen's love story began in 2009 in Dublin when they met at a friend's birthday. In 2014 Donnacha was deployed overseas peacekeeping in the Lebanon with the Irish Army, and, meeting Karen on his way back from the trip for a romantic break in Paris he popped the question! They tied the knot in a humanist wedding ceremony which was conducted by the couple's friend Max while family and friends pitched in to make the ceremony perfect including a guard of honour from Donnacha's army colleagues. Over 180 guests enjoyed a night of delicious food at the fairytale Horetown House and danced the night away to the tunes of the talented folk in Pump Up the Jam! Karen wore a beautiful gown which she paired with a pretty bouquet by Austen Flowers and Donnacha looked very dapper in his army uniform. You can see the rest of their beautiful day by Graciela Vilagudin Photography over on her blog.
A Relaxed and Romantic Day at Tankardstown
Tankardstown House was the perfect venue for Leah and Anthony's beautiful and elegant autumn wedding. From the start they were planning a super relaxed day and wanted their guests to feel at home and enjoy the celebrations, for which Tankardstown House certainly provided a perfect backdrop. Leah and Anthony went for the First Look and decided to see each other before the ceremony. It was a very special moment and helped calm the nerves in the buildup and anticipation of the main event! Leah wore an elegant and understated dress by Stephanie Allin from Myrtle Ivory and completed her look with sparkly Jimmy Choos and a beautiful bouquet. Dasha Caffrey was on hand to capture all the beautiful moments of the day and you can see it all in full over on her blog.
