Nothing like a beautiful sun-bathed wedding to dismiss post-budget gloom so today we have the lovely wedding of a very striking couple called Anne and Junior, who were blessed with unbelieveably gorgeous weather for their wedding in Tarbert, Co. Kerry at the height of the summer.
Anne and Junior are a gorgeous couple, almost a yin and yang - she looks so delicate and waif-like, while he is a hunky professional Rugby player, and we're delighted to be able to show you their wedding courtesy of the lovely photographer Bartek Witek.
Shiny Happy People Getting Wed
It's nice to get a bit of reflection time alone before the ceremony, before the chaos and excitement really kicks in... but Junior has to get that speech written..
Anne's jaunty little fascinator is such a chic alternative to a veil, and compliments her very elegant dress so well. There's a distinct air of Coco Chanel about her bridal look.
The wedding ceremony took place in St. Mary's Church in Tarbert, Anne's hometown, a long way from Junior's home in New Zealand!
After the ceremony, the wedding party moved to Ballyseede Castle, where they enjoyed a drinks reception in the sunshine, serenaded by Barry McGrath & Jigabyte, who specialise in Celtic Rock. I'm sure the combination of trad-rock and an Irish castle ticked all the boxes for Junior's family who travelled all the way over from New Zealand.
We're delighted to be able to show you such an intimate and personal set of wedding photos - I think Bartek really succeeds in capturing the couple, their friends and family in very relaxed and happy poses without any of the stiffness you so often see. And isn't that what wedding photos are supposed to be all about - your memories on film.
Congratulations Anne and Junior - hope you're enjoying married life!
And many thanks to Bartek Witek for sharing these beautiful sunshiny happy wedding memories with us. There's plenty more lovely work to see over on Bartek's blog.
