Sunday Selection: Wow-Factor Micro Weddings

Style inspiration for intimate celebrations!

As much as we would like to put Covid-19 restrictions behind us at this stage, we will never tire of looking at gorgeous downsized and small weddings, so we're delighted to be sharing four such celebrations with you in today's Sunday Selection. Taking place in Northern Ireland, Dublin, New Zealand and Cleveland, these dreamy micro weddings are bursting with beautiful florals, heart-stopping bridal looks and chic details, proving that small weddings can be every bit as stylish as their larger counterparts! So grab a cup of your chosen beverage, and let's get swooning!

Champagne and Autumn Leaves: Sarah & Mark

Sarah from New Zealand and Mark from Northern Ireland were planning a big wedding in Northern Ireland, but, due to Covid-19 restrictions, decided to have two smaller celebrations instead, one in each country, which sounds like a lovely compromise! Patina Photo were kind enough to share these stunning photographs from their New Zealand wedding, which took place in a gorgeous farm cottage on the Kapiti coast. Their intimate ceremony was held on the house's verandah, with friends and family overseas tuning in via Zoom! To see more of Patina Photo's weddings, you can check out their website.

You, Me and the Sea: Kayla and Isaac

Proving that an elopement can have the same luxe look and feel as a larger wedding, American couple Kayla and Isaac put so much love into planning their stylish wedding for two, from the stationery to the florals to the outfits to the transport! They chose Dunluce Castle on the Antrim coast as the location for their elopement, and asked Adam and Grace Photography to capture it all, making the most of the stunning Northern Irish landscape. You can see more imagery from Kayla and Isaac's elopement on their blog here.

Style in the City: Catherine & Mark

There are so many things to love about Catherine and Mark's intimate wedding day at the Cliff Townhouse in Dublin, but for the purposes of this feature, we've forced ourselves to narrow it down to just four - Catherine's incredible, fringed bridal look, the dreamy mix and match bridesmaids dresses, the stunning city centre location, and the breezy wedding portraits taken by the talented Syona Photography. Laid-back and Full of Love: Josh & Amanda

Lovebirds Josh and Amanda were planning a wedding at a cool restaurant venue in their hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, when the pandemic hit, and they decided to downsize to a more intimate celebration. This pair were super relaxed about their new wedding day (which ended up being the anniversary of their first date!), as their photographer, Julia from Julia's Shutter Moments recalls. "When I asked Amanda where her dress was to snap some gorgeous photos, she said, 'Well... about that...' She walked me to her room and pulled out a few dresses from her closet, asking, 'Which dress do you you think I should wear?' Here I was, meeting Amanda for the first time, and entrusted with choosing her wedding dress!" I think we can all agree that she made the right choice! You can see more from this incredible wedding day on Julia's blog here.
