A Summer Festival Wedding in Limerick by Sean Curtin

The ultimate inspiration for planning your own festival style wedding!

A Summer Festival Wedding is just the thing to cheer up a grey November morning, if like me you dream of staging Electric Picnic after your wedding ceremony, then you will be head over heels for Sinead and Joe's fabulous wonderland garden party. Joe and Sinead chose a vintage meets music festival theme and enlisted the help of Rebecca May to stage it, and Sean Curtin to capture the magic

Ireland being so small, I had actually heard about this wedding long before I saw any pictures, because several folks I know attended, including a close friend who sang at the church, and everyone raved about it. Sowhile you may think you've seen gorgeous vintage festival style weddings  (and we've shown you a few) you'll go a long way to top Joe & Sinead's...

It all started off  just like any other wedding, a happy bride and groom preparing for their big day...

But when the guests heard the bride being serenaded up the aisle to "One Day Like This" by Elbow, they must have known they were in for One Fab Day...

Sinead & Joe's little son did his duty as "man of honour" - and quite the dapper little gentleman he is too, in his tails and jeans - dotey!

The happy couple were in such a rush to join their guests at the celebrations that photographer Sean Curtin had only 15 minutes to capture them together (most of which seemed to be on the run)...

...but who could blame them for their impatience, when you see the amazing vintage garden wonderland that awaited the festivities...

Wedding planner Rebecca May gathered an eclectic mix of props and decorations from festoon lighting and giant 6ft toadstools to large rustic tubs of wild flowers, silver curtains, and mirror balls hung from trees creating a really authentic festival atmosphere

For the marquee reception, the quirky garden party moved inside - combining cute touches like LOVE print table runners, bunting, potted daisies with vintage tea cups and delicious cupcakes all the way from Lolly & Cooks in the Georges Street arcade in Dublin.

And as the sun set, the woodland setting came alive to the sound of music and laughter, a festival wedding I'm sure no guest would ever forget.
