Having grown up together in the same village, Rosie and Oli wanted to keep their summer wedding day local and relaxed with a thoroughly English country feel. Personality reigns with DIY details throughout Pamflete House, an appearance by vet Rosie's labradoodle and lots of smiles and giggles - all captured by the lovely Butterfly Photography...
Both from the same area, Rosie and Oli met as teenagers at a friend's party, and have been together ever since.
Eleven years later, after growing up together and spending some time living in Africa, Oli proposed to the adorable Rosie on her birthday.
A vet by trade it was only appropriate Rosie's dog Crumble join them on the wedding day, so very adorable!
Embracing an English country garden theme, Rosie and Oli chose the charming Pamflete House as their venue - where they celebrated their wedding party in a bunting clad marquee.
Rosie describes their wedding day priorities..."We really wanted a good party with a relaxed vibe, good food and wine and plenty of friends and family. Our main aim was to make sure that everyone had plenty of fun, but good food is a cornerstone of our relationship, so we put a lot of time into finding the Two Good Cooks to cater for us and a good band to keep the party going!"
To add their own stamp to the venue Oli and Rosie enlisted the help of friends and family, with Oli’s mum baking their cake and Rosie and her aunts organising all the table flowers.
Rosie fondly remembers..."Because we did so much ourselves, we really relied on our family and friends to help get everything ready, which made it more personal and brought everyone together. We did similar things with the bunting, flowers, wedding favours (jams which we made), table decorations etc. Oli’s mum is one of the Bell Ringers at the Church we got married in and loads of people turned out from across his village to see us get married. There was also a bit of a surprise for us, with a selection of our worst photo’s from our teens put up on the walls after supper – we were horrified (in a secretly pleased way) when we realised!"
Huge congratulations to you both and thanks so much for sharing your beautiful wedding with us all. A big thank you also goes to Irish wedding photographer Butterfly Photography for sharing her work with us. To see more from Butterfly Photography visit www.butterflyphotography.ie
