A lot of couples choose restaurant wedding venues because they’re contemporary, informal, and low maintenance - and that’s what makes them such cool venues. But just because you’re opting for something unfussy, doesn’t mean you can’t make a restaurant space just as special, as a more traditional venue. Today’s shoot, by a veritable dream team of Dublin wedding suppliers will show you how it’s done. With photography by Nathalie Marquez Courtney, styling by Love & and florals by The Informal Florist, this shoot at The Woollen Mills looks to interior trends, rather than wedding trends for eclectic colour pairings, mixed textures, and personalised, curated styling.
The team at new Irish event studio, Love &, say this shoot is all about showing couples how to bring a little individuality to their wedding styling, “When Irish weddings finally moved away from the classic white, they took on colour, yes, but a new uniformity, too. What we're all about is encouraging couples to think about what makes them happy, in regards to their surroundings - their home, favourite restaurants, best days out - and to bring those elements into the styling of their wedding. This is how you get an event that's personal to you, which will really resonate with your guests”.
The Love & crew looked to some of their favourite interiors trends and pieces for their inspiration, “We adore these hand-embroidered linen napkins by Jennifer Slattery and used them as the starting point for everything, from the table design, to the stationery, to, of course, the flowers.”
Their advice for styling your wedding like a pro, find a clear starting point, “It always helps the styling process if you have one key visual to refer to - it ensures you never stray too far from your intended aesthetic, however you might be dazzled by shiny things, along the way."
