I've had a sugar craving all morning so as a result our Stuff We Love for this week has a particular theme - nice sweet things you can treat yourself and your guests to on the big day. We've found items for different budgets and palettes - from giant lollipops to luxury chocolate menus, if you have a sweet tooth, you're going to have a toothache by the end of this post...
Pandora Bell is a modern old-fashioned sweet company.
Set up in September 2009 in Limerick by Nicole Dunphy, Pandora Bell uses traditional methods to mould highest quality ingredients into confectionary delights - lollipops, fudge, chocolate bars, caramels and traditional sweets.
Nicole offers a selection of lolliops and sweets and is starting to develop the wedding options in her business. Her beautiful lollipops would make great wedding favours (like above) or alternative name cards on the tables. She is also starting a special wedding sweetshop offering - she can provide you with different flavours of boiled sweets, real jellies and caramels, which can be displayed during the reception for your guests to treat themselves. This service is a bespoke offering so just give Nicole a bell to have a chat about your needs.
You can order directly from Nicole on the Pandora Bell website or if you want to pick up a little treat for yourself first you can find Pandora Bell sweets at a range of stockists around the country.
As a kid I absolutely loved Love Hearts, there was something about the fizzy chalkiness that was unnatural yet completely addictive, and of course there was the addition of the funny little messages printed on each one "be mine" "true love" etc. Ah, the memories...
Anyway, the good news is that Swizzels and Matlow, the makers of Love Hearts, have their fingers on the pulse and understand our nostalgia and are more than happy to cater to it - they offer the option to Brides and Grooms of getting personalised packets of Love Hearts created as wedding favours. Absolutely brilliant.
These amazing chocolate menus are the work of Delysia Chocolatier in Austin, Texas (found via StyleUnveiled). With prices beginning at $19.50 each, they're not for the financially faint-hearted but they would definitely be a talking point at any recession-buster wedding. Undisputed extravagance, but fabulous none-the-less.
Lots of ideas for gorging yourself and your guests - don't say we don't spoil you!
