As we tentatively look forward to a summer of small gatherings, we're here in the meantime delivering our weekly digest of distraction, in the form of Stuff We Love. These are the things we've been watching, eating, buying and loving over the last seven days...
Instagram Cook-along
We've been devouring all manner of food content on Instagram over the last few weeks, eyeing up your mates' sourdough game, and taking inspiration from what the girls from work are eating for lunch. It's safe to say our next meal is consuming much of our headspace right now! Which is why we are loving Erica Drum's (aka @drums_kitchen) twice-weekly Instagram cook-along. Fun, lively, and accessible for all, with dishes like fish tacos, salt and chilli chicken, and coconut satay on the menu, flowing wine and good tunes, your efforts will be well-rewarded for joining in!
Tune in on Wednesdays at 6pm & Saturdays at 7.30pm - the ingredients are posted in advance!
Calligraphy Starter Kit
If you've been itching to learn a new skill during quarantine, and you can't decide between ukulele and Spanish, why not try your hand at calligraphy instead? Not only will your Christmas cards this year be next-level, but you'll become an invaluable pal to anyone who needs nice penmanship at short notice! Calligraphy by Laura has put together a beautiful calligraphy starter kit, with all the suppliers you need, and a step-by-step guide to get you on your way.
Designer of Dreams
If it's sheer escapism and gorgeous gowns you're after this week, look no further than the Christian Dior, Designer of Dreams exhibit at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. This virtual tour of the record-breaking 2017 exhibition takes us through 70 years of spectacular Dior designs and the stories behind the fashion house and its creative directors. Over 700,000 queued outside the museum in Paris to see the exhibit in person, and it's since travelled to London and the US, so we're feeling pretty lucky to view it from our couch!
