Jane Mount is a visual artist hailing from New York City, currently creating a series of paintings which capture the spines of peoples favourite books called Ideal Bookshelf. Jane works a photograph of your favourite books, in a row or in a pile, and will lovingly render them in gouache and ink on paper. Such a beautiful idea in today's times when everyone we know has either an iPad or Kindle, and while we are all for tech innovations, we still love a beautiful bound hard copy book. Don't own your favourite book? That's okay, Jane will do her best to find it for you.
