The end of another working week approaches and before heading off, just thought we'd give you some ideas for any wedding shopping you might be doing this weekend. As always our picks are a varied bunch: handmade cufflinks, vintage style bridal shoes and elegant wedding invitations.
Durie Design
Anyone who reads this blog regularly will know that at OFD we are very, very fond of vintage. But one thing I've never quite gotten into are vintage shoes - I admire them, but am not a big fan of wearing other people's shoes (maybe it's cos my own are smelly?!) Anyway, for this reason Rachel Simpson is my hero - she designs vintage style shoes that capture all the essence of bygone eras. Can't you just see a 20s flapper in any of the styles above? The prices are really reasonable - from £130 - £160 and you can buy direct online. She also often has sales and discounts so worth signing up for newsletter if you're interested.
Last, but not least, if you're on the hunt for beautiful, original wedding invitations look no further than Paperface, a company based in Clonsilla, North Dublin. Paperface offers both contemporary and more traditional wedding stationery in a range of designs, and as you can see from the samples above, there's a real hint of originality in their designs. My personal favourite is the little embossed sparrow with the ribbon in its beak. Gorgeous.
So that's our little round up of our favourite finds this week, happy shopping ladies and gentlemen. And to any of you getting married this weekend - have a fantastic day!!
