Here at One Fab Day we often say that it’s the little details that will make your wedding special and unique. We believe that one reception decor idea that you should not overlook is your table numbers. They are one of the easiest and simple ideas that can add that little bit of pretty to your tables all while helping your guests find their seats.
Two key points to remember if you want to get creative; keeping with your overall theme is super important and make sure you have enough time, energy and patience to dedicate to diy. With that in mind, here is a little round up of some fun, creative table number ideas that are sure to give you a little inspiration!
Simple picks popped into your floral displays or centrepieces will create a subtle yet sophisticated look. Starting clockwise from the top we have a gorgeous floral display with vintage-style, cash register key picks from Ruffled shot by Jennica Jo Photography. Next up is a very simple, yet very pretty hand drawn table number on kraft paper. The little billy balls and blue bottle pull this look together perfectly. This idea comes from Style Me Pretty and was captured by Windy Dougall.
Another simple idea is this one with the number placed into a little bowl of blueberries captured by Jill Thomas Photography. You could ask your stationer to create something similar or alternatively if you're feelin' crafty you could DIY. Choose some nice card, pick a pretty font, type your number, print it out (or bring to a printers to get correct format) and pop on a skewer. Voila!
Why not use a fun and unusual centrepiece like this lavender idea to hold your table numbers? Can you imagine the beautiful smell as your guests take to their seats? An embroidery hoop can make an unusual but great idea for a table number. A perfect choice if you are anyway nifty with a needle and thread. Alternatively you could use a company like Quick Stitch. 3D numbers placed simply on their own can work perfectly in the right setting. These numbers can be found in craft stores or online at sites such as Ebay and Etsy. Its also worth keeping an eye out at vintage fairs or carboot sales for old type door numbers, etc. You never know what you might find! Once you have sourced your numbers the possibilities for decorating and displaying them are endless. Spray, wrap, decoupage....

Okay, so this may not look too easy to recreate but if you have the time to dedicate to diy it could be a lot simpler than you think. This book idea from over on 100 Layer Cake via Jessica Claire is created by tracing out the letters or numbers you need in the centre of an old book with a pencil, then, with a steady hand and a very thin blade follow around the shapes making sure to not cut the base of your shapes (numbers and letters). This is a perfect idea if you only have a small number of tables.
An easy and inexpensive way to let your table numbers do double-duty is this cool idea which comes from Style Me Pretty via This Modern Romance. Create a pretty table number, pop it in the cork of the wine,water or lemonade bottle on your tables and voila you have a simple table number stand!
