With the trend for more girly and grown-up hen parties on the rise, today's bridal shower inspiration is the perfect example of this. Planned to perfection by her amazing besties, Kendra's shabby chic and boho bridal bash is quite possibly the most beautiful, dreamy and feminine bridal showers we have ever seen. Hosted at Rachel Ashwell's own home (the original Shabby Chic founder) with details such as a flower crown station, beautiful vintage place settings, tasty treats, candy floss and gorgeous photography by Jenny Quicksall leaves bride-to-be Kendra with memories to last a lifetime. Ladies, get ready to swoon...
Held in Rachel Ashwell's own barn and garden, Kendra’s maid of honor Bridget who put together the bridal shower with the help from another friend, Chayse describes the look and feel they wanted to achieve for their bride-to-be..." From the beginning Chayse and I wanted to create a relaxed, bohemian, garden party for Kendra’s shower. Rachel’s house perfectly embodies that vibe - so there was no better place to host the shower. Kendra is chic and sophisticated with a silly and playful side as well. So we decided to work with Rachel’s already beautiful garden, and add our little personal touches to make it unique to Kendra, like the custom cookies, the cotton candy machine etc."
The barn was decorated to perfection with Rachel Ashwell's own shabby chic finds and vintage treasures such as floral china, faded pastel napkins, lace, blue glassware and pretty bud vases and place settings complete with roses picked fresh from the garden.
Large Mrs balloons, tassel garlands and photo memories of the bride to be add a little personalised fun to the decor. Is that a vintage hat collection I spot in the corner?!
A vintage bed serves as the perfect prop for photo opportunities!
Guests were also treated to a custom boho crown station by good friend Anahit of Eterie | Flower Crown Bar where they could choose their own pretty blooms to create the perfect floral crown. It added a special activity for the ladies and was so fun for photos.
Time to get the party started!
Making their vision into a reality the bridesmaids told us... "We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, and seeing Kendra’s eyes glisten when she walked in was what made it all worth it. We think that's one happy, beautiful bride-to-be!"
Even the littlest guests embraced the boho-vintage style!
Such gorgeous style!
After lots of photo ops and selfie fun it was time to sit down for tasty treats by Chef Marlene Bernstein and sweet goodies such as chocolate covered strawberries, personalised cookies, cake pops and rice krispie treats by I Dream of Cookies as well as pretty cupcakes by Vanilla Bakeshop. Followed by a Hollywood Candy Girls cotton candy cart!
