So last week we started a series of features highlighting the best places to bag yourself a bargain wedding dress. We started with where to find discount designer dresses online at The Outnet. Today we thought we'd look at the options for finding second hand wedding dresses.

Our first port of call had to be DoneDeal.ie, which has a huge marketplace of all sorts of wedding goodies including a big selection of second hand wedding dresses from all over Ireland - from designer to vintage, all sizes and styles, there's loads to choose from. So we had a hunt through the online sale rail to find out favourites and best bargains...

Pronovias Dresses are very popular with Irish brides, and so it's no surprise that there are more than 30 Pronovias second hand wedding dresses listed on Donedeal at the moment. But one dress - the Fauna (pictured) is particularly popular - the ruffles being very in at the moment, and we found 3 dresses for sale in this style size 12 for € 300; a size 12 for € 650; and a size 12-14 for €650 . Given this dress originally retailed at over €1500 that's a great little saving right there...

Another super popular wedding dress brand among Irish brides are the San Patrick range, which are pretty widely available and offer a great selection of dresses at a mid-range price point. But you can still save yourself almost €1000 if you found a dress with one careful owner such as this size 8 San Patrick Beret style bought for €1600, now selling for €650.

If you're more of a designer diva, and want a high end dress but spending 1000s and 1000s is off the table, then don't despair, there are also designer goodies to be found second hand or nearly new. A Vera Wang dress such as this Fairy dust style size 10-12 from a year ago, is selling for €2,500 which isn't cheap, but given the original price was €9,500 that's €7000 of a saving and the great thing about a designer wedding dress at that sort of price, is that you know the other bride was very, very careful!

So while you may not have considered it as part of your wedding dress search, DoneDeal.ie and Sellmydress, and Oncewed and Preowned Wedding Dresses in the US offer great selection of second hand wedding dresses for knockdown prices, meaning you can have the wedding dress of your dreams for a fraction of the cost.
