Saturday Selection: Gorgeous Weddings Across Five Counties

Get ready to fall in love with Ireland all over again!

Today's Saturday Selection proves just how rich and varied the landscape is on this beautiful little island of ours! In this feature, we're introducing five Irish real weddings, which take place in in five counties, namely Meath, Wicklow, Clare, Dublin and Kerry, each one with its own totally unique look and vibe. From an elegant city soirée in Dublin to a raucous house party overlooking Lough Caragh in Kerry, these Irish real weddings are just bursting with inspiration for all kinds of venues and locations!

One Seriously Stylish Family: Katie and David

As proud parents to two children, bride Katie and groom David were keen that their big day at The Millhouse in Slane be a celebration of family. By incorporating an incredibly sweet sand ritual into the ceremony, and setting up lots of lawn games for the little ones, they created a really fun and inclusive wedding day that I just know their guests are still raving about! We're very smitten with Katie's chic and modern Alan Hannah gown, and the birdcage décor at the reception had us gasping in delight, too! Photographer Phil from Give Us A Goo did an incredible job capturing this one - for a look at some more of his weddings, click on over to his website.

Laid-Back Glamour: Ciara and Martin

Irish couple Ciara and Martin are based in Australia, so they (somewhat bravely!) relied on family to help them choose their wedding venue. Luckily, their family members have got exquisite taste, so these lovebirds ended up hosting their big day in the thoroughly stunning BrookLodge and Macreddin Village. "We were surrounded by the beautiful Wicklow mountains, and the day was chilled and relaxed from start to finish," the couple tell us. "The sun even came out in the evening which added to the vibe!" As you can see from Ryan Devereux's photographs, it was a supremely chic and LOL-filled day - to see more from the wedding, you can click here.

Effortless Elegance: Laura and Alan

An Irish couple living in Canada, Laura and Alan couldn't imagine getting married anywhere other than their charming home country - one look at their picturesque wedding at Annacarriga Estate, and you'll see why! Despite persistent rain showers, the couple loved every minute of their moving and joy-filled celebration, which is captured here by Waldemar Zukowski Photography and featured generous florals (how fabulous is their ceremony arch!?) and sophisticated wedding party style. A Song for You: Allison and Steven

Is there anything more romantic than a groom serenading his bride on their wedding day? If there is, we're struggling to think of it! This Dublin city wedding at Smock Alley Theatre and Cliff Townhouse was full of sweet and playful personal touches, which Canadian bride Allison and Irish groom Steven organised all the way from their home in Toronto. Danielle O'Hora put her uniquely relaxed spin on this pair's photographs, which included some pretty magical city wedding portraits! You can see them all right here on her blog.

Lakeside Romance and an Epic Party: Rachel and Peter

This gorgeous pair had Lough Caragh in Co. Kerry as the backdrop for their big day, which took place at Carrig Country House, with an after party at Sol y Sombra in Killorglin! "It was a small, intimate affair," Rachel and Peter tell us, "We were surrounded by our closest friends and family, there was lots of love and it was very emotional. And the night was a massive party with everyone we know - fun and a bit wild at times!" We can't decide whether we're more taken with Paul McGinty captured the day in glorious detail, from the sensational bridal style, to the couple's romantic walk in the woods - you can see the whole wedding over on his website.
