A long standing vintage favourite at One Fab Day, Sally Lacock's new bridal collection is full of beautiful wedding dresses, which are exactly what we look for when putting together Stuff We Love. The latest collection for 2013-2014 contains a range of romantic lacy wedding gowns inspired by the chic of Parisian ladies from the turn of the century with some Edwardian styles, right through to the new look of 1950s Dior. These feather light wedding dresses are for the bride who wants to feel free and at ease throughout her wedding day.
After noticing that she was increasingly being asked to create dresses for clients who could not find vintage clothes with the right fit or quality, Sally decided to start her own collection of vintage-inspired bridal dresses, with modern fit and quality of fabric two of the crucial selling points of her designs. These are wedding dresses for a contemporary brides who want a taste of yesteryear but with all the advantages of modern techniques and fitting.
Sally describes her brides as happy, relaxed, a little bit bohemian, creative, free spirited and nature loving. As a consequence her dresses are relaxed, and flowing. Dance is huge inspiration - reflected in the fluidity of the fabrics and the graceful movement of the dresses.
Sally's inspiration for this collection is true French romance - with Edwardian lace, glass buttons and hand sewed detailing featuring prominently. The gowns are all full-length, but some tea-length styles are included for those looking for a little swing.
