Filled with personal touches and thoughtful décor, our real wedding couple Natasha and David tied the knot in the rustic Segrave Barns on a bright and sunny day in June. Featuring an epic soundtrack, hand-painted décor, a beautiful barn venue, and a baby bump this charming celebration is not to be missed! Wonderfully captured by Stephanie Joyce Photography, check out their characterful special day below.
Before diving head first into the details of their spectacular wedding day, let's get to know our couple first. Natasha, who is from Louth, and David, who hails from London, originally met through online dating. Fast forward to the proposal, Natasha had an inkling an engagement was on the horizon, but her now husband disguised his plan with a birthday. David ended up popping the question in a treasure-hunt-turned-surprise-proposal!
On the day of their charming wedding, Natasha, who was seven months pregnant at the time, wore a stunning Tiffany Rose lace bodice gown, showcasing her beautiful bump! Pregnant and planning? Check out our top places to find maternity wedding dresses here.
To complete her bridal look, she paired her stylish tousled up-do by Hair By Martina King with an elegant, delicate pearl headpiece.
Groom David looked dapper in his tweed three-piece suit which he paired with a dainty daisy boutonniere and a metallic banjo pin - followed by a bit of horsing around with his groomsmen!
Drawn in by the relaxed vibe of their venue, Natasha and David's goal for their wedding "was a very chilled day spent with family and friends." Against the backdrop of a stone-walled barn complete with twinkling lights and exposed wood beams, the pair tied the knot in a charming rustic ceremony.
The music-loving couple featured an eclectic mix of songs in their ceremony playlist including a "ukulele rendition of Rainbow Connection, (originally penned by Kermit the Frog)," Across the Universe by The Beatles and Jeff Warner's Come Take a Trip in My Airship.
Natasha and David had this advice for couples embarking on their own wedding planning journey: "Be prepared for things to change and to adapt. You may not end up with the day you imagined at the start but you will still get your day and it will still be amazing - but maybe in a different way than you first envisioned!"
Arriving to the tune of The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats, Natasha and David wanted their wedding day to reflect them as a couple and included plenty of personal touches to their reception. To showcase their love of travel, the pair used vintage postcards in place of a guestbook for guests to fill out. For wedding favours, the couple gifted guests air mail boxes and as décor, they hand-painted table numbers in bright colours.
Their fun-filled wedding reception went on to include a cake handmade by Natasha's aunt, pint-pulling and a spectacular sparkler photoshoot.
For their first dance, the couple chose the track Waterloo Sunset by The Kinks: "We met for our first date at Waterloo Station on a Friday night!"
Two months after all their wedding celebrations, Natasha and David welcomed their little boy Warren in August!
