College sweethearts Margaret and Shane met as teenagers at St. Pat's College. Shane decided to leave the course, but the relationship lasted...
Together for almost 12 years, Shane proposed at the cliffs of Slieve League in Donegal. Margaret remembers..."It was a lovely surprise and we started planning the wedding almost immediately!"
Just a week after getting engaged Margaret and Shane paid a visit to Ballybeg House and fell in love. Margaret told us..."Both the wedding ceremony and the reception were held in Ballybeg House Co Wicklow. We went to see it about a week after getting engaged and knew it was perfect for us straight away. The house itself has such charm and character. The Ayers Ceremony room is stunning, with it’s huge stone fireplace at the end of the aisle. There is a Shebeen on the grounds of Ballybeg which is where we had a party on the second day."
Keeping things quite classic and country Margaret and Shane decorated the venue with wild flowers, a selection of cakes made by a friend and a rustic floral and wood table plan made by Shane's brother.
