Today we're sharing the most beautiful inspirational photoshoot from the South of France and we think you'll just love it! With dreamy hues of lilac, lavender and orange, this wedding shoot will give inspiration to any bride who's considering an outdoor summer wedding with a touch of boho chic! The charming location for the shoot was the Domaine du Beyssac, an old abbey venue which has attracted many Irish couples to France for their big day! The shoot was designed, planned and photographed by husband and wife team, Mark and Clémentine Ward from Awardweddings.
The husband and wife duo tell us that this wedding was a celebration of colour and love after the ups and downs caused by the pandemic. It was "imagined to bring brightness and happiness," they said. "After seeing a lot of nude and muted colours and, after another year of disruption in the wedding season, we wanted to shake things up a bit, whilst still keeping the styling timeless, romantic and elegant."
The project was in collaboration with florist Les Idéales, who has now become a floristry teacher. She brought in her students to help with the flower arrangements. Mark and Clémentine tells us they were "so impressed with these young professionals, their involvement, creativity and professionalism. It’s an explosion of flowers and colors. We mixed bright and fresh flowers with dry and muted colors, light and airy arrangements."
Bud vases of spring and summer florals sit along the wedding table, nestled between larger arrangements, white tableware, gold cutlery and light-reflecting glass set against a soft pink linen runner, which echoes the wedding stationery, pulling the elements together into a cohesive style.
The team aimed to create a sense of fun, yet relaxed elegance using the bright flowers, which gave a gorgeous sense of cheer and joie de vivre. The flower crown and vintage bathtub were elements of this wedding shoot that we just adored! They wanted "inspiring and easily achievable details for all couples," with their cocktails, bar and bright floral palette.
We are stunned at how beautiful the location was and could easily see ourselves hopping on a plane to the South of France after this! It's certainly not hard to why why this venue is popular with Irish wedding couples.
