Trends come and go, in weddings as much as in fashion, and while others are fleeting, one thing will remain eternally popular: the colour pink.  From deep fuchsia to palest blush, the myriad tones of the colour of love can always be relied upon to add that touch of romance. And romance is the only word to describe today's gorgeous inspiration. Lead by Paula O’Hara and beautifully styled by Sharon of Frog Prince, the pair, along with some super wedding pros from around Ireland, created a wedding fantasy that will make your heart skip a beat. Courtly love is the title the duo gave to this shoot, and it really is the dream of old-fashioned romance. Prepare to be inspired...
National Trust property Florence Court, was the chosen location for this wedding dream. A place where you can make your vows to each other and have your portraits taken (you definitely will after seeing this shoot).
As a colour palette Sharon chose deeper tones of coral pink and combined them with pale blush, mint and a hint of pale gold. The look was designed to be fresh and light and ultra-pretty in every detail.
A strapless gown from Myrtle Ivory with layer upon layer of tulle takes centrestage, so it makes sense to keep hair and make up light, and elegant. A little pop of the modern is brought to the look with the shoes - coral pink to match simple drop earrings.
The coral is brought back in to the bouquet in a single rose, combined with paler tones of peach, white and pink make the bouquet both elegant and fresh. Adding an oversized ribbon is a lovely way to add colour, especially if you're opting for a classic look like this with understated jewellery, the bouquet won't overpower your look.
Grooms are so stylish these days, it's hard to keep up. Rather than going matchy-matchy in terms of colour palette and wear coral, it's more subtle for the groom to complement the style of the bride and the wedding in general. This fun light and summery look with a bit of pink and a touch of peach in the shirt and bowtie is enough to work well without becoming a Ken Doll. A really lovely look.
Possibly the wedding dream for me, seated in an old archway, with the most exquisite of settings, this is the way to live... A large single floral arrangement in the palette of coral, peach and pink combining all the most romantic of wedding flowers - ranunuculus, roses, tulips and honeysuckle. Divine. And even if it's just for the top table, it's a real showstopper that's worth investigating as an option if you're a flower fan like me.
Peaches used as place cards and favours, act as extra decor to bring that summery feel to the table (and delicious too!). And last but not least, the piece de resistance - a dessert table to really wow the guests.
The team called on the talents of The Cake Cuppery, to make some pretty pastel cakes. Again using the same palette of pinks and greens but less the coral, and with the addition of pops of gold and glitter, rounds off what would be the dream wedding for many the bride I know.
Hope you enjoyed the gorgeousness as much as we did. Huge thanks to Paula O'Hara, Sharon of Frog Prince and all the wedding pros involved for sharing their work with us today. For even more gorgeous inspiration check out the film from today's shoot, Courtly Love from Story of Eve on Vimeo.
