It's no coincidence that it was the French who gave us the word "chic". There's something indefinable about french style - that subtle mix of elegance with just a touch of edge. They always seem to be one step ahead of the rest of us. The new collection of Rime Arodaky., one of our favourite French bridal designers sets a new standard for french bridal chic. We're really excited today because following our introduction of her gorgeous gowns a while back, the lovely White Gallery boutique in Co. Down has become the exclusive stockist in Ireland! So read on to see the beauty that awaits...
All of these dresses have a very contemporary feel, with fluid silhouettes and lots of sheer panels and detailing. Even the more traditional styles have been given a modern treatment with open backs and lower cut necklines.
Bridal two pieces - tops and skirts - aren't a new idea, but they're not very common either. Rime Arodaky's designs for 2015 are easily interchangeable - any of the tops would work beautifully with any of the skirts. And as each is beautifully crafted, but not overly "bridal" you could easily wear them again after the big day (always a plus!).
The selection of open and sheer backs are fabulous and really unexpected. Tge dainty little covered buttons paired with more provocative laces over sheer panelling is sure to wow the groom (and guests!). Only a French designer could together wedding dresses with attitude and elegance.
Saving the best for last, this gorgeous floral lace design with long sleeves and sweet heart neckline is the best embodiment of the word we love so much: chic.
Simple yet provocative, stylish but not too intimidating if you like Rime Arodaky's 2015 collection as much as I do, keep an eye on www.rime-arodaky.com where the new designs are to be uploaded shortly.
Rime Arodaky is now stocked in The White Gallery Boutique, Co.Down.
