Happy Weekend everyone! Working here at One Fab Day means we are very lucky. We get sent incredible real weddings from beautiful loved-up couples from all over the world every single day and while we can't show them all (we wish we could) we do try our best! So today a little Selection of some we thought you would enjoy - a wide variety of styles and vibes but all with one uniting feature: True Love!
Love Around the World
Groom Alan from Ireland met the beautiful Megan (South African-Kiwi) while travelling around the world. He met her while working in a ski resort in Victoria Australia but after they went their separate ways, and still very keen, they ended up speaking to each other on the phone for about 9 months and fell in love. They chose to get married in Ireland, because it would be wonderful for Megan's family to see Ireland, and Ireland does weddings so well. They chose Baltimore, because they were there 2 years previously and fell in love with the area and it was perfect for their small but beautiful family "old world" wedding. See their fab wedding captured by Fiona Morgan Weddings over in full on Fiona's blog.
A Fun Retro Love Story
Julia and Brian got married in the amazing City Hall in Dublin's Fair City and afterwards they held their reception on the banks of the Liffey in a festival tent! Their big day was very relaxed and fun like the couple themselves. They are both big 1980s film fans (Julia walked up the aisle to the Top Gun theme tune) and then Brian surprised Julia by driving her to the venue in the iconic DeLorean car from Back To The Future. Corinne Crennan was on hand to capture all the fun from this retro film inspired wedding and you can see it in full over on the blog.
A Gorgeous Celebration in the Garden of Ireland
Kate and Phil live in London but decided to tie the knot in Kate's hometown of Cabinteely, Co. Dublin. They were surrounded by family and friends from both sides of the pond. Afterwards the wedding party moved to Trudder Lodge in scenic Co. Wicklow for the reception. Later the guests enjoyed a culinary treat with fine roasts and the opportunity to get involved. A guest at each table dressed up as a chef to carve the food. Clean plates all round! See this beautiful wedding in full by Brian Hutchinson over on his blog.
A Sweet Seaside Celebration
Three weeks after their little baby Sean arrived, Aisling and Harry were married in Newtown Castle with a reception in Lahinch's Waves restaurant, a beautiful intimate wedding with 40 of their closest friends and family. They had their first kiss on the beach so it was only right that they photographed their wedding portraits on Lahinch Beach in Aislings home town. Their fun day was followed by a party in Flanagans pub until the we hours of the morning! Elaine Barker Photography was on hand to capture all the lovely details and you can see the day in full over on her blog.
