A real treat for you this morning before the launch of One Fab Day magazine, we're delighted to be able to show you the brand new 2013 bridal collection of award-winning Irish designer, Patrick Casey. Particularly known for his high quality craftsmanship and exceptional manipulation of silk, Patrick Casey is one of Ireland's rising talents in bridal couture.
While inspiration for the 2013 collection comes from a diverse range of sources such as contemporary art and architecture, perhaps his strongest creative source is nature, with many of the new wedding dress designs reflecting this by incorporating intricate floral detail such as appliquéd handmade flowers of organza, georgette and chiffon. Other gowns feature stunning tulle embroidered backs with imaginative design work and extended tulle trains. His new collection has been described as “even more exquisite and luxurious, going all out on quality and sumptuous detail.”
The Adele above is an ivory silk and lace dress with illusion neckline and back and featuring extended shoulders of appliquéd lace and pearl detailing.
The Antoinette - a white hand-embroidered silk georgette dress, with a separate basque delicately embroidered with pearls, Swarvoski crystals and georgette flowers.
There's a touch of the Jane Austen to some of Patrick Casey's wedding gowns in the 2013 collection - the Aurelia's delicate puffed sleeves evoke a bygone era, while the bateau neckline with plunging back encrusted with muyki, pearl and Swarovski beading, bring a modern twist.
The Scarlet also channels a little Pride and Prejudice, with it's exaggerated cropped sleeves in white silk georgette and waist embellished with pearl, fabric pallets and Swarovski crystals.
Carlotta: White silk georgette dress with extended column train. Embroidered with Myuki pearls.
Cristina: Metallic ivory silk and lace dress with open keyhole back. Embroidered with pearls and Swarovski crystals.
Eliza: Metallic Winter white silk and lace dress, delicately embroidered with pearl and crystals. Flower headpiece courtesy of The Garden, Powerscourt Townhouse.
Maria: White, bias pleated halterneck silk georgette dress, embroidered gross grain ribbon at waist.
Beautiful embellished backs are one of the 2013 bridal trends we highlight in the Summer Preview of One Fab Day magazine and Patrick Casey is in tune with the couture bridal designers, featuring beautifully embroidered back panels on many of this collection's designs. The Carla is a winter white hand embroidered silk georgette dress with tulle embroidered back and extended tulle embroidered train. Lace headpiece to order at Patrick Casey.
Sofia: Winter white silk and tulle dress elaborately embellished with minute pearls and Swarovski crystals. Veil to order at Patrick Casey.
The Tara: A Winter white silk flat chiffon dress, embellished with full circle and pearl and crystal-encrusted straps.
