Have to admit, we didn't stay up all night watching the red carpet at the Oscars (have to get our beauty sleep dahlink!) we saved the fun for this morning - the OFD office was filled with oohs and arrrrrghs for quite a while. The 2013 Oscars were a little on the disappointing side overall, with a lack of truly spectacular dresses, and a wealth of pretty awful outfits. But who needs to be nasty?  We're going to keep it sweet on the blog this morning and only show you our Best Dresses from Oscar Night 2013. See if you agree...

One of our universal looooves was Jennifer Lawrence's Oscar dress  - she wore the palest of pinks, strapless Dior Haute Couture gown with fitted bustier and poufy dropped waist. She accessorised with diamond drop ball earrings, a delicate filigree necklace which hung down her back and a chic chignon.

Another triumph for Dior, with Charlize Theron looked super sleek  in an angular strapless number by Christian Dior Haute Couture paired with Roger Vivier shoes and some Harry Winston bling. Her new buzz haircut was the perfect accessory!

A bit divisive among the fashionistas, we think Halle Berry looked phenomenal in her sequined, striped Versace column gown that glittered in secret-agent black and gold.

Amy Adams stole the show in a powder blue-dove grey Oscar de la Renta fairytale-inspired, princess ball-gown with fluffy tulle layers and a sweetheart bodice. She kept it nice and simple with her accessories and wore a pair of diamond drop earrings and a braided diamond rope bracelet. Later on in the evening she sparkled in silver at the Vanity Fair Oscars after party also in an Oscar de la Renta gown.

Jessica Chastain went Old-Hollywood glamour in a glistening coppery strapless Armani Prive gown with a mermaid hemline teamed with Christian Louboutin heels and Harry Winston jewels.

Adele stole the show on stage with her singing talents and even bagged an Oscar for a Bond film (what a woman!) but she was no slouch in the style stakes either - the 24-year-old songstress looked every inch the diva in a black, floor-length, embellished Jenny Packham gown paired with Lorraine Schwartz jewellery. Not too shabby for a new mum!

More metallic gorgeousness on show with Naomi Watts rocking a futuristic look in a shimmery, custom sequined gunmetal, one shouldered Armani Prive gown with a geometric cutout on the bodice and a puddle train.

Anna Karenina actress Alicia Vikander, stepped out in a beaded Elie Saab Couture gown à la Blair's Waldorf's wedding dress from Gossip Girl. Loving the chartreuse/old gold ribbon addition, to give it a little more edge.

Jennifer Hudson looked incredible in a metallic blue sequined Roberto Cavalli Couture gown paired with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, a bling Jimmy Choo blue clutch and Sutra gemstone jewellery. Leaving her hair long, loose and poker straight is not the Oscar norm and suited the dress perfectly.

Oscar dress glory on the stars and on herself - pregnant Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman dressed her eight-month bump in her own stunning creation of a floor-length, crisp white gown which she accessorized with a jewel-encrusted bolero and beaded clutch.

Stacy Keibler also followed the Oscar 2013 metallic trend like Naomi Watts and Halle Berry in this gunmetal number by Naeem Khan which featured a halter neckline, a sheer chiffon back and a jet-black velvet belt. Her glamazon ensemble was finished off with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and a Tiffany & Co bag.

And finally, not at the Oscars themselves, but at Elton John's Oscar party, Khloe Kardashian shone in a chartreuse column gown with mesh panel shoulder detail. A super slick choice for the reality star (p.s. she's our fave Kardashian - shhhh!)

So what do you think? Any other faves?
