Episode Breakdown: Episode 25: Everything You Need to Know About Bridal Beauty
Wedding tip: This week, we're encouraging you to think about tipping - chat to your other half about who you’ll tip ahead of your wedding, how much you’ll tip and make sure you have cash in envelopes ready to go on the day.
Main topic: Regardless of whether you're a full-blown beauty nerd or a makeup-only-on-the-weekend kind of girl, it's only natural to want to feel as confident as possible on the big day, and for many brides, that means working with a makeup artist to create an effortlessly pretty bridal beauty look. That's why we recruited the help of Aidan Corcoran from the Brown Thomas Beauty Style Team, to offer expert skincare and make-up advice for brides-to-be, and tell us about some of his favourite products across the department store's extensive Beauty Hall.
Wedding dilemma: A listener writes, “My best friend in the whole world is pregnant and her due date is 11 days after the wedding. I’m really hoping that she’ll be able to attend but, of course, she’ll have to wait and see how she feels on the day, but I’m wondering, if she does make it, is there anything I can do to make her feel more comfortable? I would love to still include her in the day in some way, too, if possible. We previously asked her to sing at the ceremony but, on her suggestion, we changed things around when she told us about the pregnancy!" Our advice this week involves setting aside special accommodation for the guest in question, and giving her a special shout-out in the speeches.
