Non Alcoholic Cocktails - Delicious Alternatives to Coke & Fanta

A refreshing alternative to the boring fizzy drinks, our selection of non alcoholic cocktails will delight your guests - both those who don't/can't drink and as a refresher for the drinkers...

Following on from yesterday's post all about yummy cocktail ideas for your wedding day, today, with the day that's in it (Good Friday) we bring you Non Alcoholic Cocktail ideas and inspiration - thirst quenchers that are perfect for anyone who wishes to enjoy a refreshing drink without the alcohol. Lets face it, a coke or a fanta are not exactly exciting alternatives for those who don't drink (unless they're 5), so organising some fabulous non-alcoholic cocktails for your guests and they will be delighted. Plus having a fun drink on hand that won’t cause any afternoon headaches will be well received by all.

No-Alcohol-Cocktails

Given the dearth of decent non-alcoholic drinks in this country, we went off on our merry way to research some yummy alternatives that all come under the banner non alcoholic cocktails, mainly because they aren't pre-made from a factory! In fact most are very simple ideas that you can easily have whipped up at your reception. So we bring you some brilliant cordials, lemonades and mocktails...

Lemonade - Summer Wedding Drinks

Lemonade & Limeade

First up we have Lemon and Limeades - we mean homemade ones made with stock syrup and lemon or lime juice. Sounds complicated but it's far from it, Naoise has even been known to make her own, proving it's easy-peasy.. This Mint Limeade from Martha Stewart Weddings would be delicious for spring and summer occasions.  For a little pink sparkle, Paula Deen's Sweet Cherry Lemonade hits all the right notes. For something a little peachy why not rustle up some Roasted Peach Lemonade (courtesy of the Naptime Chef) or for something that packs a punch try the Kitchn's Sparkling Rosemary Limeade.

Cordials

Cordials are also made by making a basic stock syrup and adding to different juices. A Lavender cordial looks so pretty and we bet it tastes just delicious (via I love Wildfox)! Equally delicious looking are the Rhubarb, Elderflower and Raspberry cordials, which are all so easy-peasy to make. Cordials are perfect mixed with water, still or sparkling, for a refreshing summertime cooler.

Mocktails

Mocktails are the yummy non-alcoholic version of the popular cocktails. A Faux Kir is the non-alcoholic version of the classic wine cocktail but made using grape juice, which is just as tasty and you'd barely notice the difference. The delicious Coco Colada is a non-alcoholic spin on the tropical Pina Colada. The Nojito is a refreshing, alcohol-free version of the very popular mojito that tastes just as good, if not better, than its alcoholic counterpart. The pretty in pink Shirley Temple was created for the 1930s-era child star in a restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, this drink is not only yummy but looks lovely too, top with a cherry and your good to go. A similar creation is the Roy Rodgers which is called after the actor and singer Roy Rogers.
