Joined by Katja and Simon Photography, Nina and Matej planned a magical nautical-inspired wedding on the Croatian island of Krk in just six months. Allowing their dramatic surroundings speak for themselves this wedding is all about the location, and what a stunning location it is...

Matej proposed to Nina on an "ordinary weekend" on the island of Krk. Nina remembers..."We went to our favourite pastry shop and had our morning coffee (and some cake) and then Matej drove me to a beautiful bay, which was totally empty that day. There he got down on his knee (or as he likes to tell it to his friends – he tripped and fell on one knee) and made me cry in a second and I quickly said YES! In the afternoon some friends came to visit and we celebrated with some champagne and already discussed our future wedding."

For their wedding Nina and Matej returned to the magical Croatian island of Krk, where they said their vows overlooking the ocean.

Nina gushes..."I always wanted a simple wedding on the beach, where I could stare at the sunset and dance under the stars. Matej liked the idea of a seaside wedding so we started with the planning. Island Krk and the Pinezi?i beach is our second home, so what better place to pick than here! We got engaged in March and decided to tie the knot in September. So we were left with only six months of planning."

With just six months to plan Nina and Matej kept things simple and let the location speak for itself. Nina describes..."The wedding theme was inspired by the location, our main colour was navy blue and we used some local elements in the wedding as well – olive branches, sea salt and rocks from the beach."

So beautiful...

After the wedding Nina and Matej stayed on the island of Krk for 5 more days, before visiting Cres for some more post-wedding relaxation.
