Continuing our mission to push the boat out and inspire you ladies (ahem, and gents of course!) to go for broke when it comes to designing your wedding decor, we're delighted to have another of our beautiful inspirational wedding tablescapes to show you this morning. This time we opted for a Glamorous and Modern Monochrome, Pink and Gold theme bringing black and white stripes, classic crystal and gold detailing together with lush blooms in hues of pink and deepest coral. Heading into the colder months, when we're all going to be indoors, this look is perfect for those winter weddings when you need something fun and frivolous indoors.
When it comes to creating an amazing tablescape, stationery is a must. For this look we asked Finer Details to create an elegant black, white and gold suite of stationery with hints of hot pink to add a little fun to the proceedings. This splash of colour breaking up the monochrome is key to in bringing this look alive in winter time - pure black and white can be very oppressive, especially in the greyer seasons, so we asked Daisy Lane Florists to create something fresh and bright to balance out the strong stripes
While this look may look super polished, it was also the product of some clever little DIY hacks and simple styling tricks, so if you're in search of a stunning look to transform a hotel function room that lacks character, then this look could provide some inspiration even if monochrome isn't your thing. The table runners we made from IKEA fabric, provide strong visual impact and the perfect canvas to build the rest of the table. Another really simple trick in this table is the use of gold candles - they add an instant dash of glamour without breaking the bank. These ones are from M&S but you can order them in bulk online.
Fans of the black and gold wedding palette should make sure to check out two amazing recent real weddings we featured - Sarah's shimmery gold Gatsby inspired city wedding blends vintage details with her own unique style, while Caroline and Brian opted for fairytale castle opulence with a hint of glitter and gold. Both of these weddings are amazingly inspiring, full of beautifully thought out decor and those little details that make a celebration truly memorable.
Flowers are all too important on every table, and as we were styling a long table Daisy Lane created a long centrepiece overflowing with hot pinks. (styling confession: this shoot took place in April when peonies were available, their season ends in June, but ask your florist for other beautiful blooms that are appropriate for winter time). A little symmetry was added with two simple blooms in crystal glasses to add some interest to the ends of the table.
Hope you enjoyed this little touch of uber-glam this morning, huge thanks to our collaborators on this shoot - Marie from Finer Details Stationery, Aiste from Daisy Lane Florists, Caterhire for supplying our chairs & table and of course the lovely Aga of White Tea for capturing all the gorgeous!
