Warm Romance: Wedding Inspiration at Trudder Lodge

Cool style, contemporary colours, and gorgeous details

Today's styled shoot is somehow both light and warm. Using stylish details, an on-point colour palette and contemporary looks to create wedding inspiration that's modern, yet romantic - a vibe a lot of couples want to strike with their wedding day. Planned and styled by Let Love Weddings and documented by Niall Scully Photography and Out of Mountain videography, this shoot features a host of talented suppliers, flexing their creative muscles to create something altogether gorgeous at the scenic Trudder Lodge in County Wicklow.

Laura from Let Love Weddings tells us about the inspiration behind the shoot, “I wanted this shoot to include a lot of warm tones so we used the orange colour scale to pull together this vision with the inclusion of dried flowers and beautiful hints of silk ribbon throughout. I wanted it to feel romantic, yet still modern.”

The mix of fresh blooms and dried stems makes this otherwise classically romantic bouquet so chic and modern. I love the texture Fleur Weddings brought in by the poppy seed pod, pampas grass and oat stalks.

Laura tells us Trudder Lodge was the perfect backdrop for her vision, “The most amazing team of vendors came together for this shoot; it's always so important for a couple to choose the right vendors that will suit well to their theme and vision. I loved watching all of these creative geniuses come together with each of their contributions based off of the mood board and theme I had communicated.”

The bridal styling was a key element in bringing a modern feel to the shoot, "We wanted the bridal looks to be elegant, yet minimal. The One by Sinead Corcoran supplied the most exquisite gowns, including a killer jumpsuit, and Hair by Martina King and Makeup by Alanna Wallace worked their magic in creating minimal hair and makeup looks to compliment.”

Then of course came the finishing touches, “The styling and planning was carried out by ourselves at Let Love Weddings, but it would have been nothing without the most talented florist, Fleur Weddings, the cake by Clare Ann Taylor and stationery by Freckles & Fern.”

The rustic, blank canvas ceremony space at Trudder Lodge was decked out with beautiful clusters of pampas grass and pink roses, leaning into the modern romance theme.

Niall Scully Photography and Out of Mountain Videography were behind the cameras on the day, “They captured it all so beautifully and kept us entertained throughout! It's so important to have a photographer or videographer who is professional yet feels like family to shoot your day. That's why I love these guys and their work speaks for itself - the proof is in the pudding!”

Terracota is a big trend in weddings this year, so the muted orange hue of the linens looks so contemporary paired with peach candles and luxurious florals - the addition of the chocolate cosmos for the centrepieces is particularly pretty.

This cake by Clare Anne Taylor Couture Cakes, intricately crafted with sugar flowers is a real showpiece for a wedding reception.

A tousled ponytail like this one by Hair by Martina King is such a stylish look for a bride who wants to have a fresh, unfussy upstyle - it's an fun way to switch up your look from day to night too.
