A Celebration of Nature at Marlfield House: Rich and Sue

This couple brought the outdoors in with boldly colourful florals and potted trees!

Today's wedding film offers up everything we love in a summertime wedding; garden-party vibes, lawn games, ethereal bridesmaid style, and lots and lots of generous floral arrangements, in this case, in gorgeous, vintage-look shades of pink and purple! Rich and Sue even brought some trees from the site of their engagement indoors to add to the back-to-nature feel of the day! Their sensationally pretty celebration at Marlfield House was captured in this super-sweet film by Platinum Pictures, which is chock full of styling inspiration. And I dare you not to shed a tear when Rich catches his first glimpse of Sue at the top of the aisle!

From the Bride

Here, Sue gives us a little bit more detail on how the couple put their big day together;

"We chose the 21st of July for our wedding day, as it's the day we met, and so would be our five-year anniversary. We spent a lot of time on the ceremony as, fundamentally, this is the most important aspect of the day. We wanted everything about the ceremony to feel very nature-focussed and this theme continued through the whole day. At the centre of this were the eight small trees we placed down the aisle, which came from Altamont Gardens, where we got engaged, and now are planted on the family farm. The dresses, readings, songs, wedding cake and beautiful flowers all continued this theme. We chose Marlfield House in Gorey because of the amazing staff, the fabulous food and the fact that we could have the hotel to ourselves for the entire day. It was just magical, and the staff could not have done enough for us. After a wonderful meal, we were able to kick back and enjoy the live music with all our guests."
