A New Chapter: Ricky & Ana

Ricky & Ana were officially married in April 2013, in outdoor wedding celebration with friends and extended family at Liss Ard Estate, in West Cork. It was a wonderful day (you should definitely check it out here!) and while the couple have many happy memories of it, they felt that they hardly saw each other and didn't really have a lot of time to bask in the experience.

With this being a big year for them, making the move to Ireland, it seemed like the perfect time to renew their vows, back in Cork City. Ana tells us, "Spring is a time for new beginnings and the 1st of April 2017 was the date my husband, Ricky, and I decided to make the big move from London (where we first met in 2008) back home to Ireland. Our vow renewal day was the perfect way to remind ourselves of everything we've shared so far and to set intentions to commit to for the years ahead.

We are so excited to be starting our adventure in West Cork and would recommend the renewal of vows to other couples embarking on similar new phases in their relationships." They planned a simple morning ceremony, just the two of them, followed by a long, lazy lunch with lots of bubbles, at Electric, overlooking the River Lee.  Stylist, Natasha Crowley helped the couple with their chic wedding look and the bride's sister, Rosa ensured makeup and hair was perfect. Naomi Kamat took some beautiful, candid photos for the lovely couple to remember the day. A Vintage Affair: Aine & Michael

Aine & Michael celebrated their love with a beautiful civil ceremony, surrounded by family and friends, in the Mill at the Cliff at Lyons. Lots of gorgeous little details were included in their day to make it even more perfect and personal. Aine's sister designed their invitations and Vintage Affair provided all the stylings to create a romantic atmosphere, setting the tone for the day.

The change in the season suited the colour palette perfectly, with the deep wine and soft pinks complementing the stunning shades of Autumn that had just arrived. This lovely couple couldn't stop smiling and laughing the entire day which made for perfect portraits by photographer Carol Sweeney. You can see more of their lovely day here.

Back Where it All Again:  Suzanne & Andrew

When their first camping trip to Kerry resulted in the tent flooding, lovebirds Suzanne & Andrew decided to abandon the tent where it was and find a room somewhere nearby. They stumbled upon Parknasilla, where the staff greeted them with enough warmth to bring life back to their freezing bones. They fell in love there and then, and it has felt like their little corner of the earth ever since.

Andrew proposed to Suzanne there and booking it for their wedding was the most natural decision in the world. Sharing their day with friends and family in the place that holds such a special place in their hearts was a dream come true. Photographer Emmylie Cruz was on hand to capture amazing memories of their big day at their favourite place on earth, and you can see more of their day here.

From New York with Love: Michael & Marissa

Fun-loving couple Michael & Marissa, traded the New York skyline for the Irish coastline on their big day. They flew 50 of their closest friends and family over to celebrate with them at Ghan House, Carlingford. Michael's family are from Carlingford originally, and it was a real dream for him to come back to where it all started to get married.

Marissa works in fashion in New York, so it was no surprise she knew exactly what to wear on her day. She looked dazzling in her Jenny Packham Faith Gown accompanied with stunning Jimmy Choo strappy sandals.

The ceremony was emotionally charged from start to finish and filled with so much love - there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Then it was on to Ghan House for their reception. After an incredible meal, some of their nieces and nephews performed, and Michael’s dad even got in on the action singing some old Irish ballads. During which time Michael could be found in the doorway looking on at his close family and friends with so much pride and tears in his eyes.

It’s safe to say there was some serious memories made that day! Nay Photography was on hand to capture all the magical memories and you can see more of Nay Photography's work here.
