Colly and Kerry took inspiration from their love of music and festivals to create a fun and colourful wedding celebration on the shores of the lake at Lough Eske in Donegal and with the help of Grace and Saviour  they brought festival fever to their wedding guests! Colly and Kerry knew eachother for quite a few years but it wasn't until a chance meeting in Belfast, when they were both home from university in England that started the romance. After a night out on the town, lots of flirting and a date request via Bebo (what a blast from the past!) After an eventful first date which consisted of a pub crawl and lock in, the rest is history!

So after a long distance romance Colly and Kerry were back in Belfast. They took a trip to Dublin and Kerry's proposal antena was on high alert but poor Colly's nevres took over and it took a few attemps before he popped the question... We visited Powerscourt Gardens on route to Dublin, with the sun was shining my suspicions were up! We spent a lovely morning walking around the grounds, lying on the grass chatting for hours and no proposal. We even stopped at the Powerscourt waterfall nearby, had a little walk around, packed with people, but alas no proposal. I succumbed to the fact he wasn't going to do it on this occasion, we headed into Dublin. Colly took a little detour into the city centre and we arrived at the lovely Fitzwilliam hotel and my heart skipped a beat - yes, this is it! As we got ready for dinner Colly suggested a walk around St Stephen’s Green. Dressed in our finery we approached St Stephen’s green and the gates were locked -He was having no luck! During the meal Colly was uncharacteristically quiet. After dinner we went back to our room, where Colly plucked up the courage and got down on one knee he popped the question he had been trying to ask all day!Through very happy tears I said yes.

When Colly whisked his bride-to-be away for her birthday to Lough Eske he had no idea it was going to be their wedding venue, but being on the ball as usual, Kerry booked an appointment with the wedding co-ordinator while they were visiting..."We loved the venue from the moment we arrived. For a five star venue it really was so relaxed and they were always very accommodating. The amazing food is a bonus and Noreen the weddign co-ordinater was brilliant and it was her attention to detail and follow up that sealed the deal for us. Mairead then took over her role when Noreen left and it was a very easy transition. We felt like we were the only couple to have ever got married there – a very rare ability by a wedding team.

Being music fanatics Colly and Kerry brought there love of music and festivals through each element of the day...To say Colly and I are massive music fans is an understatement. We live and breathe music. Nothing makes us happier than standing in front of a stage, drink in hand listening to one of our favourite bands. We feel truly blessed to have met someone who shares this passion.

Taking inspiration from music and festivals the couple chose music symbol stationery and their table plan and table names were named after Glasto stages.

When it came to the decor Kerry knew exactly what she wanted, using wedding blogs and pinterest as inspiration she called on the talents of Grace from Grace and Saviour to impliment her vision... Grace from Grace and Saviour was a godsend. She helped us decipher our way through all the themes and bring it together nicely. Lough Eske is lovely and grand but she made it still quite relaxed  and with our festival theme. Her special touches put our personal stamp on the venue. Roisin from nettles petals worked closely with Grace and she was just brilliant helping decorate the room. I loved the bicycles with baskets full of wild flowers and vintage roses outside the church.

The mismatch of photoframes with childhood photographs are a lovely touch and a great way to get people talking, even if they're making fun of your dodgy dress sense!

To top off the festival vibe the wedding cake came complete with concert ticket decorations and a tent on top!

What advice would you give to brides and grooms planning their day? Everyone always says to relax and enjoy the planning and the lead up to the day as it goes so quickly. That is so true, it's a lovely time and the excitement and build up is great. Don't panic or stress but just enjoy it and don't lose sight of what is most important, you two. One thing I would definitely say is delegate. Don't be afraid to ask friends and family for help. Another thing for the grooms and best man is to not fret over the speeches. Everyone who has came to your wedding wants to see you do a great job, so just speak from the heart and don't copy and paste from bestmanspeeches you've found online.
