We're thrilled to share Gintarė and Paulius' real wedding all the way from Lithuania. These creative (and uber stylish) lovebirds celebrated their wedding day at their Summer house, taking inspiration from rustic barn weddings with added vintage chic.

Happy Monday All! Hope your weekend went well? This morning we bring you something rather unusual and super cute - it's Gintarė and Paulius' wedding all the way from Lithuania. These stylish lovebirds celebrated their wedding day at their Summer house in the country, creating a Summer celebration with a rustic twist. It's lovely to be able to share the gorgeous portraits of the day beautifully captured by Couple Cups, and if you're a fan of the rustic wedding look then you should like this.

So Paulius and Gintarė met years ago when they were in school but it wasn't love a first sight... I saw him first in a basketball court as I accidently threw a ball to his head. After that we didn’t see each other for a while until I suddenly saw him sitting on the same bus. I went over to say hello and after that he decided to come by to my house and borrow some cd’s. That was the strategy which led to second meeting, dating and even marriage!

Isn't Gintarė's wedding dress fabulous? It was her close friend's Grandmother's dress that she was thrilled to be able to wear on such a special day. The Vintage lace ruffle skirt is perfect with Gintarė's vintage updo and looks rustic chic with her brown boots.

So it took a little while for love to blossom for Paulius and Gintarė, but when it did they didn't look back and Paulius sealed the deal with a sweet proposal... Paulius took me to the highest church in our town which has a beautiful viewpoint on the roof. It was autumn, a little breezy but a sunny day. He said ‘Well, we have never been here, so let’s go while the weather is still bearable’. I had no idea that after watching our town from sky I would see him kneeling down with the sweetest ring in a hand.

Gintarė is one stylish bride, she gave her vintage gown a bit of pop of colour with orange nail vanish and lipstick.

Keeping things personal (and the costs down) Paulius and Gintarė chose to celebrate their wedding at their own Summer house... Our venue was decided first of all. We thought that doing everything in our own place would save a lot of money. We knew the memories that we shared n our wedding day would last in that house forever. Now when we come back to the Summer house every corner reminds us of our special day. And I can only imagine how magical it will be walking there with my own children and telling them the story of their parents getting married behind that trees, dancing next to this fence, etc.

With such a stylish bride, Paulius didn't let the side down with very dapper brown braces and bowtie.

The couple had dreams of a rustic inspired day and after deciding to celebrate at their Summer house (which looks pretty fantasyic from the surroundings!) the pair made sure the wedding was very personal with all their closest family and friends there to celebrate. They were hands on making DIY decorations to compliment the beautiful location which is a place close to their hearts and it will be there for years to come. They kept the vibe very relaxed filling the night with dancing, food and fun.

The most special moment was reading the vows that we had written. This tradition is not very common in Lithuania but I guess that this memory will never fade away as there are so few moments when you hear the nicest words written just for you and read in front of all your family and friends. of course all the people that were participating in our wedding made our day very special also.

What advice would you give to couples planning their day? Take things slow and do not panic. Clear out the vision of your dream wedding in the begining and strive for that vision to come true. The easiest is to plan everything when you know exactly what you want (that includes money you can spend, theme, style, color, etc.). We just recommend to do everything in a way that reflects you as a couple.
