Their Day, Their Way: Stephen and Ruth's Lisnavagh House Wedding

Just wait until you see the ceremony...

We are often asked about the "right order" for a wedding day, and the truth is there is no "right" order, there's simply a celebration designed by the couple to fully encompass their love and commitment to each other. The most lovely weddings are when the couple takes the time to make it truly personal like today's wedding by Luminaire WeddingsStephen and Ruth married in a magical woodland setting filled to the brim with ribbons (and a whole lotta love!) followed by celebrations with family and friends at Lisnavagh House where great food and great fun were the order of the day. So, sit back, turn up the volume and enjoy today's wedding cinema production...

You only have one wedding day and Stephen and Ruth were clear that their wedding would be organised in a way that suited the kind of celebration they wanted to have. So they chose to make their vows in the woods at Lisnavagh in a humanist ceremony surrounded by family and friends.

Before the ceremony began, the guests mingled at the house, where Stephen and Ruth had organised for a drinks receptions and bites to eat to start the celebrations and get the atmosphere humming. Meanwhile, Stephen and Ruth decided to have a first look, so they could enjoy a few private moments before greeting their guests. Stephen waited patiently at the foot of the staircase while Ruth descended in her beautiful gown and flower crown. Those few minutes together, before everything and everyone crowds in, are so important. And of course, they result in the most beautiful portraits.

All of the guests then walked the avenue lined with gorgeous colourful ribbons and Chinese lanterns down to the heart of the woods where the ceremony began. After the ceremony, everyone headed back the tree-lined walkway to the reception marquee decorated with lots of gorgeous DIY elements, we especially love the polaroid place cards!

Huge congratulations to you both and thank you so much for sharing your wedding day with us all. A big thank you also goes to Luminaire Weddings for sharing their work with us. To see more from Luminaire Weddings visit www.luminaireweddings.com
